GU 16:00

It worked with opening a buy trade and keeping the sell trade a little bit, you could get out with B/E for that one. So you would have made money.

My question is, what happens if it keeps going in the same direction for 20-50 or 100 pips ? ever happened to you billy or lem?

Long long ago, I think I remember asking about a 16:00 GU trade setup. Maybe, I just dreamt it lol, maybe it doesnt exist, can't really remember ... But I am sure it was in this thread. ... Something related to banks.

Why don't you get a job and save up a trading pot. In the mean time demo trade on saved charts in the evening. Get a job, and when you are successful at demo trading, try trading part time but keep your job. You need a lot of money - thousands-before you can survive at full time trading. Your parents have the right idea in that you cannot succeed at full time trading without a big pot to start with. Billy did succeed as did Claudia but there are many, many, people out there who trade part time, and many more who fail. Live your life first and trade second.

I did it for some time, Turnip. The point is, here in Italy, expecially in Naples... as a part-timer worker i earn very few money.

Here there is exploitation. My friend work full time and earn 480 / month. Full time job! In a pastry shop. I don't know how is the situation in your country, but here is very tragic. You can't save money with the typical jobs for the boys; i know in London a dishwasher or waiter can earn 7-900 pounds/ week

My last job as a waiter: 25 euro for 1 day, not every day... it's hard to save money.

I earn more money doing trading with micro lots!

Choices - you get a job, even a low paid one and you have guaranteed income. Trading gives no such guarantee - most fail and waste their time and life trying to be a trader.. You could study and then get a job outside Naples. You could seek jobs outside Naples - many people move around to get a job. Your limited earnings at Forex will not provide enough to live on and save or even to get a life outside your room and away from the Pc screen. I am not being cruel but if you want to better yourself then make an effort to better yourself by education or move away for a job. I repeat -you need a lot of money to make trading a worthwhile full time job or even a worthwhile part time job. Count the hours you spend in front of the screen and divide them into your trading earnings in a day.

It is hard, no doubt and Mr-T is well meaning for sure. However, if you are willing to gut it out just for a while longer, compounding like a madman (and most importantly, not withdrawing working capital), then it is entirely possible to claw yourself out of the pit - or at least out of your parents' house first!

I still remember being not long out of school and working as a freelance writer and being approached at a wedding by an aunt who asked me, ''So, anyway...what are you doing these days? Still nothing?''

Use it and let it make you stronger.

Hi Mr Green your right about London but also the rent on a flat there is massive, they have pennies left after they have paid it, i live in middle England and a dishwasher would get £250 gbp a week here, yet there is also skilled workers, car mechanics/mot testers ( like myself), carpenters, welder fabricators on only £300 a week, but rent and house prices are lower here, in other words its relative and only you know the situation your in and how cheap or expensive it is where you live, but i would give yourself another 6 months to see if you can start to turn a profit, sort of draw a line in the sand, it would also get your parents off your back ( say to them if i can't make 50 euro a week in six months i will go to part time work) gets em off your back for six months, then if you do not make it you could try a part time job as mr T says or think of something to sell on ebay or something you could make, and trade part time, i am in a simular situation but older with mortgage wife and kids, i know its hard, Just some ideas Bud, But keep the Faith and Good Luck

This is the way to go. It shows that you are treating this as a business and that the fact that you are in effect signing a contract, shows confidence in yourself. You have to believe in yourself, as if you don't, then how can you expect anyone else to? That you are willing to do this, shows the ultimate confidence in yourself.

As it turns out, I am beginning to put together a new set-up. This one's a cube and will use liquid sand bed filter but other than that, I haven't made any decisions on which direction to go yet.

Time to start putting together a working file of inspiration

First,,,,i can remember ages ago, Without going into detail but i can remember that if i didn't trade well i didn't eat.

You are asking questions and trading real money.THAT IS GOOD.

You need a method and you stick to it, don't feel lucky and NEVER THINK YOU KNOW THE MARKET.
We can look at a chart and have a good idea which way a pair will go.
In my case, once a break has occurred high/low specific time frame, it is easier to say where it will probably go. and it works..

Money... a small bank can be made bigger quite quickly, as long as you look at gains in %%%%%% percentages...
Do not say oh i made 2 euros today but say i made 5% etc

Compounding is harder now due to higher margin but it can be done.....
Parents are parents and some do say negative things, some correct and some negative.
My mother often said negative things about me. BUT I PROVED HER WRONG..

Thank you very much for the support and advices You are helping me feeling less alone, you are giving me moral support along this difficult path.

Trading is a solitary activity and I think that the moral support of other traders is fundamental! I feel lucky to be in this thread.
