U Guys need to take a violent pair instead of eurusd, for better results
Success with Martingale & Hedge - Possible?
EURUSD test (default settings) with tick data (I don't know why is written modelling quality 1.01%). EA is too risky. As you can see there are spike in equity curve of more than 3000$. It's good idea the combination of grid + hedge but in my opinion it's necessary to improve the logic to make EA less risky. {image} {image}
If you use default setting and test this EA on correct tick data, you will never see such big curves.

ti reduce the risk add max number of trades and add limit u and limit down for the trades. add only to do one strategy only 1 or only 2 antimartingale. add closing trades at break even and averaging. this move safe.
1- If we set limit to number of trades up and down then we cannot Go with Flow.
For example, if market is going down rapidly and martingale level 20 started, so you cannot stop opening new trades because Market price can move up any time and the last higher lot size trades will be vital to close entire martingale cycle, if there will be no trades near price then its highly chance that after small retracement, price will keep going down again and loss of open trades will stop the account at the end.
That is why, to limit the maximum lot can help to reduce DD but by limiting the trades limit will leave your trades in the middle and price will catch a train and will blast your account
2- Agree, the major role of smooth curve in testing bar is less greed. Either EA will close cycle at 17 pips (default setting) or 10$. So once huge martingale cycle is opened, getting 10 bucks is almost equal to breakeven or we can set this to 5 $.
Problem will be the Hedge trade, (Anti Martingale). Either it should close with martingale cycle or by hitting SL

150+ downloads but only 3 members tried for back testing or did demo test. We all want Holy Grail but don't want to make effort.

i made 500+eurin 2 weeks but i had max 1.600 eur drawdown and only for the luck i could close all positions so....
i suggest to all of you never to try a such ea in real.... play with bt and demo so y ou dont loose nothing.

This is the reason, mostly successful traders don't share their strategy maybe market makers will take notice of that.If you don't mind, can you please share your results once you have some free time. I believe, first part or engine of every martingale EA works perfectly. Mostly price travels in range or keep retracing and once in a month or sometime once in a quarter, a critical situation appear where martingale EA become dangerous to our funds. If we all can build strong defense for that critical situation then we will be successful and banks wont be able to do any thing for that. (I am just day dreaming
) Regular weekly or monthly withdrawals are must if you are playing with any martingale.

Its risky game, yes, forex is risky even you trade manual. Risk is always part of every strategy somehow.
