Neither are trades, according to Joseph’s strategy.

Okay, I never took much notice of the second strategy, I thought we were talking about the engulfing candle.

Hello, I've back tested EUR / USD & USD / JPY & GBP / USD for the past 2 years, each pair got stop loss triggered 1 or 2 times at max, but i used this rule (PUT trailing SL if 15+ Pips in profit). Overall, had around 65 winners, 6-7 breakevens, 4-5 losers.

Hello,

I still don’t see a setup on EURUSD or USDCHF W1 or D1 timeframes, as I understand the second strategy, the only difference from the first is that price closed above or below the previous days open and had not closed above the high or below the low.

Maybe your using a different broke with a different bar opening time, I use GMT + 2..

I do not see it either. I mean I don't see a setup today, yesterday yes.

Sorry I deleted because the signal candle did not close below the open of previous day candle.
If signal candle closes below previous day open, then this would qualify.
What I am trying to say is Type 2 does not concern engulfing candle at all (whether is body only or high low)

Type 2:
1. Rejection of previous day high.
2. Signal candle does not close below previous day low, but closes below previous day open.
3. Sell below previous day low.

As I read it, there needs to be an engulfing candle, in post 1, Joseph say's: (if the signal candle has all the prerequisites), maybe he could confirm the type 2 setup.
