IB breakout experiment on aud/usd failed

the dblhc trade I posted hit TP

right now got into this trade on eur/aud. the short signal was 2 hours past us open. I'm wondering if this is too late in the day?
got in with minimal lots just incase.

- lower high into previous swing
-tdi cross
-h4 looks good

-dol may prove troublesome ahead



also my h1 gpb/jpy prediction is currently looking good

edit: on eur/aud price stall a bit for 4 bars below my entry at the brn, then there was a bullish outside bar, i returned home seeing that ...and decided to get out
gbp/jpy went 57 pips ...and would have been a winner

-price close below pivot

I was going to exit if price closed back above the pivot.....

missed a eur/usd trade as well because i removed my pending order [setup posted in the tms thread]
saw a gbp/jpy setup as well and hoped for a pullback to get in ...but it never happened, but tbh after doing a bit more studying since i don't think i should have expected a pullback with that one..

gbp/jpy ...

everything was looking good here,

price took off well from my entry, was around a third of the way to my tp. i was smiling in fact .... then at about 9:28am london time price started behaving very erratically ...and the full bullish bar was now looking like a pinbar in the space of a few seconds...huh? ..then 9:30am hit, price actually gapped to the downside and dropped like a lead balloon ......taking out my stop

i was not a happy bunny. no high impact news was due out for gbp at this time, and it was only gbp pairs effected. just wtf went on here???

double top ontop of 200ema
hidden div and div
..and tdi cross


trade failed. not sure why .....maybe bad luck. there was no wick on the first high of the double top ... i don't know if that made a difference. the double top and 200 ema makes 2 resistances

9.30am was high risk news on GBP, its on the calendar so you must have missed it.

So do you draw manually S/R zones and on which timeframes usually ?

I used to

but I prefer to manually look for support and resistance these days..

wasn't using the h4

-hidden div and double top
- bearish outside bar soon after


went short, ...but when price reacted off the triple bottom with a bullish outside bar i got scared and closed my trade....... only to find that later it reached my tp


things didn't really go my way today ...but i cashed out my daily eur/jpy trade from monday at 2x risk ...so overall the day was positive

i had to reinstall MT4 and downloaded a fresh copy of the indicators + the template from post 1

Now it looks like this, whats the problem here?

Its really a mess to scroll through thousands of single postings to follow up which templates/indictors are up to date, tested and working.

lisa, how do you handle trades where the TDI signal happens at the same time as the London Open or US Open?

do you still take the trade? or do you pass on it?
