Quieter day for me today. Managed a few of them a little tight (standard issue of mine!!), so much so that each of the 3 directions I traded all went for at least an additional 50 pips, so 150+ pips lost out on there.

Will have to be happy with my 63 pips for the day.

Have started trading FDXM (Mini-DAX) as I can't swing the FDAX stops for the 233T.

Hi all : i want to clarify some points regarding my posts
1) I Know that most of the active trader here are trading on futures and are mostly interested in day trading.
2) My main purpose of these posts are to prove that Damian lessons and strategy is as effective in swing and position trading as intraday trading, i would say with less failure of expectation, and more accurate course of 1:1 completion of harmonic.
3) I myself use this long term analysis as a guide line for , my trades which are mostly done on 5 to 30 min time frames. Though sometimes i would take a position or swing trade as a long term investment with a small lot size.
4) These analysis is very important to me so that i know and expect more success in taking for example short position of EURUSD and expecting, it is not going to fail during next several weeks if i have a wide enough SL for the price to breath (and long position on the USDJPY), there is higher chance that if price goes against my short term trad, it will come back to its long term track at last.
I would appreciate , welcome and love to hear others ideas and comments on this matter.

I am doing good buddy, sincerely doing good.
Switched to higher Timeframe and the positive change is really breathtakingly great. Currently building my equity to a decent level in the upcoming months.

A question for you I've been wondering about.

Your trades look to be good and you hold for a lot of points (and also trade demo if I recall), but do you think these type of trades will be hard to do when you go live? I'm just wondering about what you think of the emotional aspect.

Yes, I do trade demo. Of course trades will be slightly different emotionally with real money. Nevertheless... My thinking, is that if I can't trade mechanical on demo trading to practice controlling my money, then I would most likely fail even harder if I practiced with real money with no set of skills in place.

Of course with a demo, you can take on more risk without the worry of losing real money. However, real money or demo money... the skills should be developed to be the same in my opinion. Of course, if it was a real account, with my money, there is no way in hell, I would trade more than one contract with the little money I will be able to fund a real account with.

One thing to consider.. If you open an account with $10,000.00 and trade the YM with one contract that is $5 per tick... a 20 point loss will be 1% percent of your account. If a person has a job that just rakes in the dough they can easily refund their account and say..it is not a big issue and practicing with real money is better than demo or some nonsense like that.. lol.. maybe I am totally wrong.. just my opinion.

You would have to be wrong 2000 points to be wiped out. And remember, 10 loses could add up to 10% or more of your account. I think that losing a certain percent would get to me emotionally and lower my confidence. So, I think on demo it is important to focus on how much you will lose instead of how much you will win. Sorry for the long winded answer. I hoped it helped.

I completely agree. I was wondering if you thought it would be difficult to hold as long for as many points as you do in demo. I find that aspect the most difficult.

My only concern was to make sure you develop a method to trade in demo that is feasible in live. I think I couldn't do the large swings and hold for as long yet, so I don't practice in that way. I'm not profitable at the moment so my opinions/concerns may be less valid.

I still have a lot to learn. Sometimes I have good demo trades and some of them are complete disasters. That is why I won't go live until my wins are consistently over powering my losses. As far as long swings.. I don't try to make long swings. However, if it looks like it will continue.. I will trail with my stop to capture more. However, I think with a real account, I will shoot for 20 points per day. The account can grow at 20% per month with an average of 20 positive points per day on a $10,000.00 account. Kind of like trading a $1000.00 account, with a 50 cent position. Doesn't sound like much.. but even 50 cent positions can wipe out $1000.00 with bad trades and not cutting loses. And remember.. if you start out with $1000. and lose %1 that means your next trade is a risk of more than %1

You would be surprised at how many people don't understand basic math in regards to their accounts. And many people, videos, and books, don't explain or talk about money management either. They just try to get a person hyped up on how much they will. Win Win Win!!! And people of course want to better their lives with financial freedom, so they won't look at the potential risks. That is how people are pulled in. We can call them the dream makers.. or sellers of dreams. Colleges and Universities do the same thing.. Get this degree with us for 40k and you will make the money of your dreams.. lol

Granted some education is worth while.. but in my view.. the best info is well guarded and not easy to obtain. So luckily we have this thread courtesy of Mr. Pip to discuss Price Action trading.

Really glad to hear that. Regarding the equity build, I'm doing the same.

Life's alright. Getting some lemons here and there, but I'm making lemonade

What TF are you trading now? I stick to 233T, that seems to be the best for my style and the instrument I'm trading (FDAX)

We completed the 1:1 on the long term, bounced off the 38% retracement of the A to D, and it's doing that expanding wedge thingy on the short term...
