I see your point. This is why there has to be reasonable government regulation. Freedom of the press (media) is just one small part of the first amendment. A person or persons right to speak out against government in many different ways might be one of the most important aspects of the first amendment. This fundamental right is not present in many countries.

There have been a number of times on FF where I have been accused of being racist (no evidence), but not once have I been accused of being fattist (plenty of evidence.) I have also never incurred a CoC for fattist comments.

I believe fat people should pay more for seats on an aeroplane. I believe person plus luggage should be weighed together and over a certain limit, excess applies. Also if a person's arse is too wide to fit into a seat, they have to buy another seat. Why should I have to pay for excess luggage when the gargantuan blob doesn't but weighs hundreds of kilos more? My little one only weighs 20 kilos, so she should be allowed about 80kgs baggage if say, the aggregate weight is set at 100kgs.

At the very least there should be a solid panel underneath the arm rests. Thankfully, it hasn't happened to me, but you may wish to be a fly on the wall the day it does, because you can be sure I will kick off big time.

I call it the Big squeeze. Like words from a song I once heard kept playing in my head during one of my self induced anxiety moments when a very large person got on the bus (Greyhound) and sat next to me on a two day ride many many years ago. immediately I sensed doom and couldn't breath, so I got off in Cleveland and waited for the next bus and a better seat. It was a long cross country ride I had to take, and there was no way I was going to be smothered to death, it would have been hell! I believe she at least had 200 pounds on me. Crazy! I never fat shamed her though, I just gave her the stink eye! True story BTW.
