Disliked{quote} I think they crux of this is not so much about closing the closest, or furthest trades. The partial hedges could be done with any of the opposite trades logically speaking. I think the biggest question is if this strategy would survive an expanding range.Ignored

Disliked{quote} This is what I mean by.. would it survive an expanding range (See image - black dots represent expanding range with above average volatility). The question remains - if you let the original grid strategy run by itself, how long can it withstand an expanding range? And swap is another problem. {image}Ignored
Disliked{quote} I am looking for the filter volatility index, or the option market trading large time order data to refer to manually opening or closing the consultant, is this feasible?Ignored
Disliked{quote} I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you are looking for. If you're looking for a volatility indicator, try this one: https://www.mql5.com/en/code/8049Ignored

Disliked{quote} The test account I feel is always profitable, the real account is hard to say.Their explanation is "network", "setting", "server", and so on.So 3--4 points, it's easy to steal.Ignored
Disliked{quote} BAU = Business As Usual, meaning you use whichever grid strategy that does well in range times. In our case let's take xBest as an example. I plug a grid strategy into XAUUSD. During range times, I profit with my BAU strategy (grid) - note that BAU can be either grid or trend, depending on how you want to play this. When s*** hits the fan - you define what *** is - in my case, I set it as: when DD >= 5% of account balance As a proof on concept, look at this image i have attached. The black dots are periods where s*** has hit the fan. Of...Ignored
Disliked{quote} Thanks for sharing this graph. I have no clue on the time span it represents, but for sure it is +/-20% return with a DD +/- 10% , so , a "boner" for grid traders as R:R is 1:2 . Trading 2 or 3 selected pairs or commodities ( or even Indexes) diversifying would sure be the way to go. Subscribed to you.Ignored
DislikedMy demo ( as per Trade Explorer) is now in a īlittleī DD , since begining of experiment with Xbest V2.2 ,it stayed around less than 5% , now it has reached 15%. So what I did is : a) deactivated EA that is on GBPCHF and AUDJPY ( un-ticking allow live trading). b) Closed gbpchf and audjpy with a small tiny loss of 4 or 5 pips ...few cents loss. c) XTI which moved (down) 210 pips in few hours , seems now to have stabilized , which does NOT mean that it canīt go down further. XTI ea is trading on M30 candle with allow 1 trade per candle to TRUE. I...Ignored
