In fact, whether it is the futures volume or not does not matter that much.
The TPO value levels are what I am watching. High futures volume nodes are just for scalping of a couple of ticks.
The broker volume is adequate most of the time.
Dax is attempting to close back in the prior day's value area.
In the first attempt, it was rejected leaving a selling tail from 11965.
If Dax is able to close back in Tuesday's value, its posture would become neutral shrugging off the sell-off in US equity.
Hopefully that would be the higher low before a major advance to the upside.
We shall see.
I can imagine. It is not so easy to have many features like footprint, bookmap and so on written in mql4.
Why don't you get a Ninjatrader or other advanced charting platform with lots of flexibility?
Recently there is one type of trade that is on fire.
The value area rejection for the European indices.
Both Cac and Dax has responded to yesterday's cash session value area low with a decent sized rotation. You can pretty much get one or two of this type of trades every day.
The value area rejection works nicely for European indices because the Europeans tend to trade in balance for the London session and then dragged by the US counterpart or Trump during NY evening session leaving a whole bunch of trapped cash equity holders. When price trades into the value zone, the weak hands would seek to cover hence creating this response.
This is not the type of trade for you to take a home run winner. I am looking for a 10 - 20 points scale off and a runner behind. The advantage of this trade is that the success rate is very high and you don't need a wide stop for that. For cac even a 5 points stop is more than enough. Hence the risk reward is very good.

Previously, it was the Dow and ES being the role model of prior day's value area rejection. But as the volatility expands in US equity, they start to ignore the value area and trade right through them when Trump news hits.

I really don't have the patience to sit through the forex trades which usually takes a couple hours sometimes several days.
I have tried trading a small position size, but still I could not get through them.
Just prefer to see reliable trades to respond in just a couple of minutes.
I have found that the market profile works perfectly well for the major forex pairs, but crosses much less. I was only able to see some reasonable response to the market profile in GBPJPY and EURCAD. The best to apply TPOs are EURUSD and GBPUSD which has most of the volume done during London session. The London session value area and POC works quite well for these two.

Consistency is the key.
If you have the consistency, you can always scale up your position size so that all you need is just a 20 pips per day.
My mentor trade 25 standard lot one hand all the time, never feeling scared.
That is my goal. I want to be a 100 lot trader some day.
Hopefully, i won't get broke before that.
I have done with my trading and journaling. Time to have some rest.
