This is my latest DEMO test for the past 4 days, if you manage your pair and money smart, I think it looks really good. I am willing risk my money for something like this.

Some cobwebs, but it looks promising.

Trade's are not getting opened automatically. Mnaully we have click the button each time.

And suggestion to overcome this please.

BE aware, it's more risky than default setting. If I have to rank it from 1 to 10 for the risk 1 is smallest risk and 10 is biggest risk. The default setting is like 2 my setting is like 6 and the other one I have is like 8. Just want to clarify

@rodolfolm I am trying not to step on your toes here, because you are doing most of the leg work here, but I am going to recommend the following.

Instead of release the feature as often as you can, try have a list of features and a set of milestone. You have to decide which feature is going to be on which release cycle. Because this is a money making EA, so people need time to back test and forward test the EA once you release it. If you release it too often, we are not finishing testing a version of EA and the new one came out in between. This is a way to ensure the quality of the EA and save time for everyone. You should not use the coding mentality for ex. website to use it on EA. It's ok to have an error in the website(not where it involve money), but not for the EA. People need to test the EA extensively before they can put actual money into it. If its all good, when they start making money, they can start give donation to you for your work.

For example, I am still testing 2.21 and I already saw bunch of other modify version came out. It takes at least a month or so to fully forward test the EA and understand how it reacts in different market condition for the non coder or for coder for that matter. So I guess it would be good idea for you to set something like a monthly release cycle, if that works for your schedule.

Hi wkendwr...in most points I agree with you!

We should going forward step-by-step to improve an existing EA and not 2 steps at once...IMHO. New features/functions are fine once we have first got the former ones.
Honestly, I feel somewhat overtaxed with new features as long as I do get no detailed explanation how they work and how to setup them. Perhaps for a coder much is natural but unfortunately not for a dumb trader like me...!
I think we absolutely need a working hedge function but so far I don't have got an answer on my inquiry in my post #834...but there's still hope...!

Hi guys - A bit of analysis for your thoughts...

I've been using 3.4 for the past month on a small live account with fairly tight parameters, but have let the grids build by themselves while I simply monitor them.

Parameters: All defaults except:
Moving Average Period:34
Percent Lot: 1
Grid Increment Factor: 1.1
Daily Target in Money: 50

Took 341GBP to 533GBP (56.3% gain) in 12 days, then lost 97GBP (18.2%) on 13th day (today)

I have tried not to let my psychology get the better of me (it's real money after all!), but have now closed two grids manually due to me losing faith that they were going to recover. In both cases, the grids went over 7 trades deep and ran for in excess of 12 hours.

I have also resisted using the Equity Stop function for now, instead trying to build up a view of how far I should let a grid run before it starts to run into trouble, or becomes counter-productive to let continue.

Today I closed my latest grid, which had gone to 10 trades before I closed it, for an 18% loss (that's not as bad as it sounds, as I am still up over 18% for the month anyway), and have now gone back over my trades and performed some analysis on the grid sizes, and what I have found is:

128 Grids in total, consisting of:

1 trade: 76 (59.4%)
2 trades: 31 (24.2%)
3 trades: 12 (9.4%)
4 trades: 7 (5.5%)
7 trades: 1 (0.8%)
9 trades: 1 (0.8%) - 18% loss due to closing manually

Based on the above, I now feel confident that limiting the grids to just 4 trades in total (close on 5th open) should be far more profitable (not to mention less nerve-wracking) than letting them run, as those that exceed this number either take an exceedingly long time to close in profit (time which could be used to place single profitable trades) or signify that the trend has changed and the grid is now on the wrong side of the market, and may have to be closed manually for a large loss.

I'd appreciate any feedback on this line of thinking.

Next release I will implement.
I just added the buttons to test the strategies faster on the backtest and also because it was a stefdek request.
I'm evolving these EA's just to see what's really possible.
Afterwards everything will be evolved into the MindStorm Project where anyone can create their EA just by assembling the pieces: adding Engines (xBest, Ilan, TrendFolow, NewsFolow, PendentGrid), Sensors (News Sensor, Volatilidad Sensor, Time Sensor, Sensor Signals, Risk Sensor, Speed Sensor) and remote control (Buttons)
