Lol, I actually came on here to post the Dead Zone trade.
Anyway, I didn't really have any intention of getting on board, Friday and all...and other than on The Daily, there wasn't exactly an over-abundance of info to go on...but hey, why the hell not.
Only interested in going short.

Hi Lem. Home now, and I have had chance to read your post thoroughly, and thanks again for taking the time to post a reply. I am going to spend some time over the weekend and go through your posts to fully understand your method. I'm not sure what a dead cat is (probably end up with lots of pictures of dead cats now) I managed to watch 5 or 6 youtube videos on wick zones by someone called the rumpled one, but still not sure if this is your trading style Regards Kev

Anyway, you live and learn and the good thing is, you did actually finish the day and the week well with the HOLO trades.
One technical point about that Cable 08:00 set up this morning. I can't remember what the S+D situation was and we have of course moved on in time, so the zones have changed. However, even taking it naked, looking at it you can see the head-fake South, yeah? So you are now on the m5 to manage it (forget the m1 for now) and you get your fake-and-bake and you're going the wrong way.
The candle closes uber-strong Bullish, with a pin-wick below and a flat top. That PA would lead me to close out the original trade and not run it as a hedged counter. Yes, it's a risk but the exposure / loss at this point is still small and it gives you a line in the sand.
At this time I want to jump on board that momentum. I'd enter immediately at that point (in reality I would open the long first and then close the short, so I actually would be hedged in a counter but only for a very short time and not really relevant to this example for clarity's sake).
Then I would enter on my next trigger on top of the first long.
If it was to turn again - and given the PA, I'd have to say that would be unlikely - then you haven't given up much different to running the trade in the normal way.
Hope that makes some kind of sense.

Been watching the series 'The Leftovers'. Fantastic stuff (other TV series are available) and got to the second season so far (on episode three now).
One thing they did was to change up the opening credits / theme (and nothing is done by accident on this, everything means something) and after the initial shock at the complete change of pace, the music track has really grown on me.
If you've seen this, you know what I mean and if you haven't, you can check it out, or just listen to this great music. It seems like a bright and breezy country-tinged song - but if you listen to the lyric, it's anything but and completely in keeping with the script.
Anyway, I like it and maybe you will too.
