AUDUSD not the pattern traded as there is no consolidated tightening from bellow, but micro shelf does point towards bulls trying to form a up move.

Yes being strict is very important to pick clean setups and avoid too much B quality plays. Always make preference towards flat lined plays rather than trendlined plays that will ensure that you are more likely in line with symmetry of behaviour and orderflow.
At the end its all cascading event, traders that trade too asymmetric structures often are late or very loose on risk placement, if you follow clean symmetric structure you have clean tight plan on where to exit in loss.

To continue this post, one of key reasons why following symmetrical structures are important is becouse order flow trader will follow risk guide based on the structure of price, which means that the lower quality the symmetry is the chances are the lower quality the exit execution will be. I have seen this thousands of times on my executions but even more on executions of other traders when trade is entered on asymmetric structure trader will often not respect any significant price level, will often leave loss to run longer and have no proper solid plan of exit on the entry. Nothing better to point Sun Tzu quotes that pretty much over in any aspect on how trader should react to his own making:
"One who knows when he can fight, and when he cannot fight, will be victorious."
"A smaller army that is inflexible will be captured by a larger one."
"Know thy self, know thy enemy. A thousand battles, a thousand victories."

If you are trading structure that you have not traded many times before with positive edge, you are only hoping for positive edge.
Flexibility is the key charasteristic of a trader. Loyality is for those willing to die first, Flexibility is for those willing to stay afloat over long run.
Executing process with positive edge has basics in your own attitude, edge, principles and knowing the same of the market one trades if that execution is reflected in positive edge. Trader with positive edge on situation will be able to be consistently profitable if edge is adjusted from player to market basis over many executions.
One with pre-set moral attitude has no room in trading, it is all about adoption to the reality and that is reflected trough the outside factors that trader can controll. Positive attitude towards information is the key, no pre-set bias.
