What I see for today is that market has paused and thinking where to go for the day:

  1. Either to retest resistance at 1.2475 area or to retest support at 1.2340.. so which one? Is the new question for now.
  2. On H4 or H1 the major support is 1.2392 still.. so as long as we are above that intraday speaking: no selling!!

Observing 4h ,its been sideways ,candles doing their best to be above 1.2400 , may not touch the two extreme mentioned,but remain in tight range for bull and bear scalp on lower tf. We might get the breakout next week. Since its a bull market,breakout northward more likely.

Also watch 1.2406 on H1.. as long as below that odds are bearish.. tight range though.. nothing to trade yet..

Bullish Flag pattern at D1, repeating the same price of 2014,EMA 200 supporting bulls, strong congestion area, maybe 1.30 by end 2018 ?

Careful bulls!!! If London open can not make H1 candles open and stay above 1.2415 at least I prefer to stay bearish for the day..

Bulls probably won't even be able to "cling" above 1.2410 from here.. they are losing steam..

So what is happening with the euro? There has been relatively little news on the European currency over the past weeks. This is partially due to the fact that the FX market is currently focussing on the protectionist measures threatened by the US and thus on the US dollar. Secondly the euro hardly moved recently, as my currency indices illustrate. This may change briefly today as a result of the ECB meeting, as the ECB council is likely to discuss today when it is going to change its official communication and further pave the way towards an end of the expansionary monetary policy. The market will pay particular attention to references as to when the ECB will end the asset purchasing programme. This is seen as the required first step before the central bank is then going to start hiking interest rates. Recently the single currency was able to benefit from speculation about an imminent end of the asset purchases followed by relatively rapid rate hikes soon after. However, I fear that in view of still disappointing inflation developments in the euro zone the market expectations are still too optimistic. As a result I expect that the central bankers – and above all ECB President Mario Draghi – will come across as cautious and will in the end refrain from changing their communication today. Also in view of the threat of a trade war with the US it does not seem such a bad idea to wait and see for now. As a result the risks for the euro point towards the downside today.

Mixed to bearish day on small timeframes but overall still nothing to trade.. especially H1 shows signs of double bottom.. nothing for sure yet.. Big trend is up that's all we can say but again: indecision day today.. so careful whenever price is around 1.2390 and whenever price goes back up to 1.2415

quick and easy volume prediction. Price out of very long tight H1 range, on M30 small bull candle on low volume. To really turn market back I would expect much higher volume, therefore I expect continuation bear trend, or at least test the low of this last M30candle /4pips, sufficient to cover the trade/
