Hi Billy and lem, and mrT, Hi Claudia( long time no speak lol)
I have been lurking here and reading the thread and also trading the 8.00am 15m bar and also lems dead zone, i really like the way you guys trade and a like the humour here two, i have a lot to learn like the other day i spent 7 hours putting a bad trade right chasing the monster around all day because i was greedy and tried to get 10 pips lol, I love the fact that the entries are simple, hope you dont mind me chimeing in, cheers.

Welcome to Billytt's ship of reprobate privateers, Montego.

As a follow on to your 7 hours of chasing comment, one thing I like to do is to set aside a demo account and deliberately take a trade and let it go negative. I let it drop to whatever I fancy and then I practice my recovery technique on that.

It takes the monetary pressure off and instead allows you to hone your technique.

I am not talking about just randomly banging away but running the true method, just with the chance to rep and rep again with purpose (my record recovery is £20,000, lol, so it is worthwhile doing). In fact, I have one of £7,000 running just now and so far, I have taken back £4,700. I've locked that in for the day and will continue on tomorrow, time allowing.

Thanks for the welcome Lem, im sure ill be very happy here your my kind of people i like easy going people, lets have some fun, life's too short lol.
Lem thats a great idea, the demo recovery i will try that im only trading very small 0.01 lotsize for now but but demo is even better, im not the best at it but im trying.
what happened it failed as i was greedy lol, so it was then hedged, so then i put a Sand R indi on the chart (the one in my picture) and when it hit either S or R I cancelled the one hedge, but it just kept blasting through the S and R levels and i kept swearing lol, in the end i knocked a bit off but it wasnt happening so i put a buy stop and a sell stop for the same lot size as the original trade 25 pips from current hedged Market position, i waited for it to trigger so it was double hedged and it luckily carried on and got me out with 5 pips.
maybe though i should have left it hedged untill the morning and tried the S and R levels, perhaps i tried to hard to get out of it if you know what i mean.
hope i can learn from you guys

Brilliant claudia were all Eric fans in our house my lads only 15 and can play the lead and on layla pretty good and hes only been playing 3 years kids they pick it up so easy lol

It's only a mistake if you don't learn from it as far as I'm concerned. So well done.

This kind of trading, where you hedge and unwind, hedge and unwind, is not for everyone. It can be tough psychologically but if it suits your personality, then it is sheer genius.

I love to have a set up where if I have to hedge my way out of a negative trade (put it in limbo), then go in-and-out with additional plays, that means I come out at the end with every entry / trade in the block a win, even the original one that went negative.

Obviously, usually, you're mission is to have the add-ins clear the negative, in-limbo amount and you then close with a larger profit than the original floating loss (which is what you ended up doing in your example) and that's absolutely fine, as you end the day up but it is possible and super gratifying to green-up across the board!

Have him watch Joe Bonamassa at 12 yo opening for B.B. King or Google any other gig he played as a teen. He will be uber inspired.

He jams with EC all the time and is one of my all-time favourite players.

Lem now your talking, i watched him play with Gary moores son as a tribute to Gary on tv just after Gary passed away (another great gone) Joe is Unbelievable !!
My lad loves him all ready , must be the way i brought him up
