Depends what you wanted to trade. If you trade immediate orderflow, you cannot always place your SL below the main swing. Would make no sense. TP and SL have to fit somehow, otherwise you will end up with SL of 100 and immediate target of 10 to 30.

To be honest, I have some problems to understand why you entered long (I was short at that time). Compare theup candles on the left and how long it took to get there. Now look at the bears candles, no signs of bulls.

Congrats. Why do you cut that much your chart? (no time on it, no instrument, tick numbers,...; I can guess what it is, but maybe difficult to see for someone jumping into the thread)

I was looking at the larger swings. I have the previous two swings to the left and my expectation for the day was a NSH. Obviously it wasn't a good trade to take even with the fake rotation candle. The second swing in itself had trouble reaching its 1:1

Well done to you and PeterT for taking the full trade that I jumped out of too early

Another trade but this one was a loser. Entered at 100% retracement but price continued through the area relatively quickly for a 30 pip loss. Break of structure now leaves us looking for shorts.

Took 22 trades today. Some in very immediate OF.
The limitation of 30 points SL max. makes me bend my rules in some cases.
For now I can live with it. I learn a lot from these experiences.
+105 points for the day

Just showing a global image of my trades, not going to mark all the profits and losses

Unfortunately the answer is not well!
I moved my SL below 38.2 of the swing 'hoping' for more profit. Last time I checked that's not in my trade plan. Ended up with +50 instead of +95. I shouldn't complain about positive trades but gave up 45 points for not following simple rules. Learn some the hard way I guess!

Still sitting on this one, wondering if I should have gone to BE at the yellow highlighted area, not exactly a test of structure.

So, besides the YM.... which other instruments on the futures market do you feel give equal opportunities as the YM?

My take,

I think if it were me I would have gone to BE when price was at yellow zone, Reason...the price was already past Fibo 38.2%.

It seems its now in a complex correction.....

I have another question on Ninja trader......

On the SuperDOM.....i want to set an ATM Strategy for FOREX, but the Instruments drop down doesn't have Forex, it only has other instruments (Futures,.....).

How do I set up an ATM for Forex...........
