please tell me, how to stop Ea, for opening two bids at one place, it always opens two buy bids and one sell, or two sell and one buy bid at a time

Thanks for your reply.
Regarding hedging, since I have no knowledge about different hedging tactics, I am helpless to answer that question. You may please choose good one from your knowledge. Regarding 'trigger the order', both buy and sell orders are to be triggered when a new candle open (any time frame). No indicators are considered.

Hi guys ,

just wanted to share what I think would be usefull to change in the original (out of the box) settings MA 58 applied to close on H4 TF .

This was hardly suggested by my friend Birpinar at the very beginning of this thread ...and it makes the difference . The Version I use is still XBest V2.2.

High DD yes , it has always be with grid/marti . For me max DD is 50% ...with max profit . There is a lot of settings that only have 15 to 25 % dd , but they produce poorly. If ever going live with this EA , Equity protection would be set to 50% ..and after 30/35% dd sometimes after level 6 or 7 I would look to manual intervention using all I know about manual trading to close at BE. Or another technique that I will explain further. That if implemented in this EA would be the first Grid ea to do this.

Cescof did you came along with settings for a 9 to 12 months period that are satisfactory ?

No optimization ?

Anyone tried this EA on RENKO charts ??

Hi rayeesdar , yes your are then using Trio Orchestra ( trio dancer , ilan , same stuff different name ) . To stop this , you need to change ea to Xbest V2.2 or later versions that you will found here in the thread.

Standard settings for EURGBP : Fixed lot 0,01 per 3,000 cents ... in settings below , i am playing with 0,1 on a 15k cents LIVE on a non ecn account.

Hi Stephen, Thanks for mentioning the moving average idea. In fact the idea was to trade when market is above 100+ pips from the given moving averages but since you are trying something new, I wanted to give the exact settings for the levels I mentioned.


1H: 58 period smoothed and HLC/3
4H: 36 period smoothed HLC/3

These levels have high importance in market.

The Picture below shows an envelope band with these settings on 1H and with a deviation of 0.7%. Center line is the moving average with settings I have given.
I believe this can help to understand the idea. If you start the EA above or below 100+ pips from the center line (close to upper or lower band) we will have a high chance for closing all trades without getting caught to a trend for a long period of time. Because it'll test the center line again. even if it goes to the center line, it'll go up again or range in the center line and if it goes higher, then it'll come back to where it started again which will give the EA enough chance to make good profit without getting caught to a trend for a long period of time. but of course that can be done only for a limited time since it still can go lower low or higher high if we get caught to a trend.

The idea was to catch a fish for the dinner with less risk and stop trading.

Thank you my friend for passing by here and leave us so wonderfull tips. At this moment unfortunately there is still no interface (GUI) that allow us to to Start Buy, Start Sell , Close all , to trade a manual strategy like the one you described above. My family is big...so , I will look for several fish or a big one.

Thanks rodolfolm! however I tested the new hedge function but it seems not working.
Can you please add the same to xBest_RV3.4 in order to compare the performance with and without the hedge.

Hi stefdek,

thank you for your continuous efforts to improve the EA. In your above test you are using a grid increment factor of 10...right? That means you are trading 10 lots already on grid level 4 and even 100 lots on level 5? Please correct me if wrong. Moreover the term "GridIncrementFactor" is unclearly if not wrong because it is really a LotIncrementFactor!
I dont understand the 58MA concept of entries in your test because it makes only sense for me if starting the EA 100+ pips away from this MA according to birpinar's findings.

I continue to focusing on multipairs basket trading on M15 and RV3.4 (max. lot limit!) which gave me about 1000€ this week in forward test with low DD and I do consider to go live by middle of next month. I got the best results when TP is set about half of grid step size.

This is my best conservative setting for xbest2.2 EURGBP AND 1MIN TF.
