I was on the wrong end of a hit and run today, on the slopes. I've never known it so busy, it's carnage! He took out my skis from behind and crashed into me but I came off worse as he was much bigger and he just skiied off like nothing had happened, bastard. I bet he was German. What's with inflation in France? It's really crazy and it's nothing to do with the exchange rate as I don't convert. Before Brexit, fuel was about 1.12 to 1.20 Euro a litre. Last summer it was 1.30 ish. Now it's 1.45, even 1.50. In the UK fuel has stayed more or less the same in the time, about £1.17 to 1.25 a litre. It's not just fuel, it's everything. How are people coping? Unemployment is sky high especially in the under 25's. It really has been hushed up, hasn't it, that the EU is going down the toilet faster than we are led to believe.

All intact, just a bit black and blue that's all. The traffic was a lot clearer today. Managed to get down from 3200m to 1600m altitude (that's a mile drop ) in one non stop blast with plenty of good mogul runs and flat out dips. Some serious leg burn and adrenaline buzz, lol.

Here in the UK we still have a lot of asbestos water mains, where we are out in the sticks the land is mainly clay and it moves winter/summer and occasionally the main cracks, now the problem we then face is fibres in the water apparently no problem ingested but the problem comes with washing clothes - fibres then caught up in your clothes and as they then dry an airborne hazard.

Gosh, I didn't know that. How about evaporation of the water leaving airborne fibres?

When water evaporates dissolved solids and for sure undissolved solids are left behind.
When boiling water the steam is virtually devoid of any solids. This is distillation.

For those of you who are of the philosophical bent I found this article during my research for a chapter I am currently working on as it relates to Post Modernism and how the socialists and communists can't defend the failure of Marxism and socialism, thus they hide behind post modernism. Nevertheless a very interesting and very insightful read about the movements and origins of post Modernism. Also Nietzsche and the Nazi's, and Nihilism as a word to describe the pessimism of the world we live in today, a post modern one at that!
