The EA trade finally reached its tp of +50 pips I will post some charts later on when I get back to my desktop.

yeah, I think it is S1 [s100] actually, I still have daily pivots on there too even though i've stopped using them [that is labeled pivot and also S3].

in the past where i've taken trades where the TDI cross is barely touching usually on the next candle price goes on to massively reverse the other way leaving me crying lol, ...but i think i've improved my price action skills somewhat since then, so i'm glad to see one working for once ha

what is your risk reward when you trade?

seems to me like, due to where you entered it was greater than 1:1?

Thanks. Not sure what tdi is levelling out means. Also isnīt the last bearish candle on the EJ chart not a higher low instead? Maybe i need some training what HH HL LH LL means regarding to tdi?

Well I always set a stop loss of 50 pips but very rarely let it get to that, if the h4 starts to turn and also a cross the other way I will usually take it out, according to my trade stats my actual RR based on around 100 trades is 1:2.4

It depends how you look at them, but I look at every swing, I used to have the zigzag on there with a setting of 3,3,2 to help me before but have taken it off now that I can see them without. Levelling out means it is neither particularly up or down.

I just took the zigzag on my m30 charts to automatically label the candles. Yeah youīre right for the EJ example its labled as a LL. (I did not make any changes to the zigzag indi just thrown it to the chart).

But how do you interpret the LL in this example. Lower lows = downtrend. But i thought at some point things are changing and with the TDI Cross to the long side i canīt see a reason why this should not be a valid TDI long signal at least for the m30 period. So not sure what to wait for here.

I already tried researching what likica posted about HH, LH, HL, LL. But its really confusing as every chart looks different (at least for a beginner like me). Also i think every trader looks different to price action patterns at all.

Getting kind a frustrated again right now... Maybe asking other traders about charts is not a good thing at all. Everyone seems to look different at it. For a newbie like me its really hard like this to follow up with all that.

EUR/AUD is doing a good down move btw... But this one was actually trading toward the daily open line and not away from it like described at post 1.

You would probably be better served looking at the charts and studying, looking to see what works and what doesn't. That's how I spent most of my time and still do to a certain extent. You asked what you should be waiting for on EJ and I will tell you that each and every time I have gone against the h4 (which is what you would have been doing) all that happens is it either goes up and down like a yoyo with no proper direction, or it goes solidly against the trade....so, I have learned not to go against the h4. Now if you look at the EJ h4 chart, you will see a really big bearish candle yesterday and every candle today is still inside that, so it could be just a retrace up that big candle....how far will the retrace be? how long is a piece of string So what I would do in that case, is either leave it altogether or go in on the start of the retrace, at 4am gmt +2 the h4 tdi started to move back up if I could not get in then, then I would not chance it because it could get to an abrupt stop and turn back around.

i'm not an expert or anything but imo no

i think you need more help on market structure

perhaps take a look at mr pips harmonics thread, i can't remember how far into the thread it is, but he does start posting video's on market structure..
if you can grasp the nsh/nsl concept you should start to find this a bit easier.

also go and lookup the user lastingwell and go through a lot of her posts and you will find more insights into using the H4 the way lisat is doing

that is quite a lot here for you go through, but if you want to improve i suggest you put the hours in and get on with it

that looked like a 50 pip sl and tp?

and usd/jpy has a ATR7 of just over 100

how are you so confident price will travel 50 pips on the pair? ... I would have thought given it's ATR that a 30 pip target would be better?

Well I do look at the atr projection so the tp of 50 was between the 80% and 100% of the atr which I thought was reachable.

I am trying to look more in depth at the H4 for the next week.
