I just use it as a place price might bounce from and very often does. I have the 124 ema on m30 because that is the same as the 62 ema on the 1 hr. Price will bounce very often from there, not sure why but it does, so I wouldn't take a short if price was just above that ema or a buy just below.

here is a trade from earlier on the usd/jpy

price making hh/hl
purple MA= 124ema
green MA = 200ema

price seems to bounce directly off the 200ema, and around the 124ema ....but as the 124ema was slightly above price i'm guessing you would have passed on this trade.


what warning signs do you look for when monitoring a trade

i'm guessing higher highs/ higher lows in wrong direction, anything else to look out for?

Usually when you get higher highs and higher lows on m30 then the h4 tdi will be also up so I look at that as well. You're right I would not have taken the UJ, I would have had to take an earlier trade on it or not at all. I find price bounces far more from the 124 on m30 than the 200 although at the moment they are pretty close together.

I'm on my phone at the moment so can't add a chart but the GA trade just tp at +100.

Could you show me what it looks like, also where to find it? thanks. I am now using the 2017 template of likica with just the TMS Angleator on it. Also turned TDI Cross alerts off now as they really tend to be late like you said.

yes well done on GA

im looking at EA right now and it's not moving much. In hindsight there was not that much distance for the tdi cross to the ema

If you look at this post of mine: https://www.forexfactory.com/showthr...7#post10537717 it shows the tdi h4 on there as I can't upload anything at the moment being on my phone. I think I may have posted a link to it somewhere also.

I took the trade on the 11am (GMT +2) candle, so there was roughly 40 pips to it, as I usually look for 50 it was worth a shot and hasn't hit my BE yet.

ah I see

I was one candle later at 11:30am as to me it looked like price had borderline closed on the trendline..

edit: actually, the 11:00am candle did open below the trendline, it was the previous candle that was borderline closing on it..

Yes you're right, it did just close on it but with such a good cross on the tdi and all the rest I took the chance....not that it always works of course

Same here. I was short on EA already for break even now short in it again. Lets see. Its quiet near to the ema right? Amything else her might be not good for a short trade?

I personally can't see why you've gone short on it again.

Question regarding this EUR/USD chart.

The current candle TDI forming or already crossed?
Do we take the open of the new candle right after the cross for entry (long in this example) ?

Its a good trade, I don't have AU open as the atr is too low for the ones I take but definitely a good trade, cannot see a reason not to take it. Out of interest which pivots do you have on your chart as I have AU closing back above S100% not the pivot.

That's good, I have the same pivots Although the tdi was only just touching it was a very good angle and if you refresh later on, it will look like it had crossed anyway so that's how I look at it, as long as everything else looks good I would go in.

The h4 is not looking too bullish at the moment and the tdi is levelling out, also the m30 just made a lower low so wouldn't be one I would take just yet, I will wait until its more convincing on both timeframes, if I miss it I don't worry about it.
