Indicators are unable to identify the exact scenario of the market flow! in this case, you have to work with full trading chart.

I'm the kind of guy that really likes to study charts (how and why) price moves. Obviously I don't have the complete thing mapped out so I like hearing what others have to say. I personally like what you do here because of transparency. It's not a matter of being right, but being honest and learn from every trade (good or bad). What you call supply and demand i call order block (from the inner circle). Again, I grab things from here and there and preactice and came up with my own system. I have nothing to prove to anyone, but a lot of times I don't have the time to post my trades so it's there for people to see that I'm not one of those that show charts after the profit it's in. You can actually see it's legit. There was a trader here called BAtus I think. His trades was always on point like to perfection. Always after the fact. That kind of pisses me off lol. How low in life you must be to go to forexfactory and lie to be accepted lol. [/highlight]

Quick summary of how NZDJPY example ended up playing out.

About 3 hours after the above comment in the original post and in the H1 TF price printed a fresh supply zone, which later tested then sold off. As usual, entry PA is down to each trader and targets is a case of looking left and making a judgement.

My short on EURGBP. I should have waited for a break and pullback but this looks just yummy lol

To be honest, I thought cable gave the better short setup today's London. I haven't seen a decent setup on Euro just yet.

Do you mean the flag? I'm sleeping when london opens. Its hard for me to get into those trades, because sometimes Im not that confident to have a limit order without seeing what price is doing.

Yea it's a flag of sorts. I'm trading M1 charts so am at the terminal to enter market orders.

I don't tend to post entries any more because these are candle-specific. The principle remains unchanged, however: read S/R to judge "direction" (preferably the most recent direction change) then trade the PA around fresh zones.

Depends which TF one is looking at. From H1 perspective it's clearly down - potentially quite a way down.

Similar situation with M5 but if it starts breaking north and pulling back there may be an opportunity to buy it intra-day.

Hi Simond,

I am not really sure why in the first image, there is a SD area, market in blue. Usually what I look for is a narrow move and then sudden drop/raise, but this does not look like it. At the same time, my SD knowledge is very basic and I am still learning.

Hi Ray,

A lot of it's going to depend on how the trader derives the zones. There's obviously always going to be the top and bottom major swing points in any given time-frame but in between there are intermediate zones of which that H1 supply zone was one. The main point of interest for me was that price had tested that zone and continued selling off, suggesting that the H1 down move still had some life left to run.

Hi Simon,

Are you able to explain or point to the posts where you discuss how you draw up your S/D zones?
From what i have seen there is a bit of variation in interpreting zones from different traders
Apologies if this has been covered before.

Hi shrips,

The zones are essentially a fresh swing point - in other words the market will need to have been bid up followed by some kind of minor consolidation prior to a "reasonably significant" drop in price for supply, with the opposite applying for demand.

Essentially on charts that translates to eyeballing swing point type structure and then confining the extreme turning point candles inside a box. Current Oz H4 as an example:

For some time now I've been using the supdem indicator, which is based on the zig-zag indie to draw these zones automatically. Having said that I can't stress how important it is to spend time marking out zones manually and then using supdem to compare. Supdem is fantastic at picking out primary swing points but it does print a lot of wiggle in between, which can really bamboozle the untrained eye.

In the Oz example I was reading where a trader would have put the beginning of the supply zone at the open of the bullish candle prior to the bearish candle that started the move down. In that example it is slightly lower than where you have yours. I guess it neither here or there and it depends on price action at the zone when price gets there.

I will take a look at the indi but still wanting to understand for my own peace of mind the most accurate method in drawing these zones.
