No. It was refunded within a minute or so. It had to have been a computer that did it. A human wouldn't have had time to do it.

Okay guys thinking about trading the CAD retail sales tomorrow and US GDP Friday. What pairs do y'all recommend? I was thinking long USD/CAD for both with a 17sl and 80TP for retail sales sense important US data will be coming Friday would it be better to trade EUR/CAD? Also has anyone ever looking into volatility at the end of the month? I was trading USD/CAD news a few months ago and noticed an extreme take profits I think driven by it being the last Friday of the month possibly? Do y'all ever hold trades over the weekend or cash out Friday afternoon?

I don't know any I would recommend. I got shafted today by Oanda widening the spread before the news and lost a winning trade.
I'm out of the news business.

I don't know. I had the ask line displayed on my chart and I never saw the widening. It appears like they can stop you out at will and claim a widened spread as the culprit.

Cad CPI came out with Advance GDP. Result: whipsaw.

Recently, major news haven't done well. Retraced or whipsawed.

I am looking into that. What has been doing well is screen monitoring. This week there were at least 3 events that could be caught for astronomical profits.

How much more confusing can it be? This is a real money loser and FOMC has a tendency to do that so we will eliminate it!
Unchanged rates do the exact same thing.


yess... I mus admit that in some rare occasions, unchanged interest rates still generate a very clear, one-direction candle ... sometimes... but calculating on the number of occasions on the long term gives you a negative edge..

We have to eliminate the crap and only trade the cream of the crop!

Hey Tony I love trading the news, what events are you suggesting trading from now on? What events do you consider creme of the crop? I've been printing off old Data to analyze news events more but haven't had time to dig into it much yet hopefull this weekend, what are your thoughts?
