once there is a visible edge in the main EA, it is just patiently sticking to it. easier said than done, but the only way. unless you set to trade the EAs performance, so, only start copy it after it loses some, in anticipation that it will rebound (if a long history supports this approach).

however, 32% loss in a week is just too much. if the return is relative low, so should be the corresponding drawdown.
i wish you to safely recover from this one.

you very well may be right, but a mere 50 pips gap can wipe about half the equity, just as well as set you up for big gains.
but for that UK has lottery
and 50 pip Monday gaps arent unheard of, at all...
as a bet, i hope yours will work out, as fund management, it is extreme risky move.

Agreed .. I was hit by the US government closure over the weekend and I have closed the whole lot .I will not trade that Demo Account EA until I have the required equity , as of now , I just trade along and use my signals until I get to a position where I have the money to start using my EA.
I must admit the frustration and the pain though , its hard to take but what can I do. It will take me at least 3 months to recover the amount I lost in the last 7 days.
It sucks

Now that the gamble did not pay off , I will humbly put my tail back in and go back to my normal trading method .The only downside to it is that I will continue watching my Demo account winning whilst I take peanuts .
But once I get to the required equity that will allow me to trade my EA , I will do so but for now .. its will be small position sizes depending on my equity and it will not match the performance of my Demo Account unfortunately

it is always a lot less painful to take on demo risk and loss than same on a live account.
with the higher swings harder to stay with.
but wouldnt be able to size your demo risk to your current equity closer?
a simple trade copier can be of use to do that.
and with last time having so many lots open, likely you could reduce that exposure by 5th or 10th, and still follow your demo...with less swings, less profit, but less DD too.
there is always, always another trade!!

The issue is that my Demo has about 6 Signals , including Martingale .. So even though i can follow it with small amounts , when it comes to martingale , you can lose it in an instant so that's why you need enough capital to cover for that .
The code is such that EVERY signal is taken as you never know when the market trends.It needs at least £30k to do that

EA started trading Random trades after it missed a certain sequence , the multiplier lost its sequence and I realized it after the account had lost over £5000. I had to stop it but it was too late! I need to fix it and will resume next Sunday 4 March 2018.
Please find attached what it means for everyone .I will open a new account next week as i cannot stand the sight of this mess.

ouch. hope you will be all right.
coincidentally today my copier had caused me some trouble, but it "only" cost me 3400$...
these unfortunate things seem to happen once in a while, and by Murphy's Law, never to the favor of the positions.
there is always, always another trade!!

You are copying someone ? I thought you are trading on your own !

It looks that some basic security layers were missing ... expensive experience.
I won't play only smart but give you one hint: when you know that you trade 0.01 lot (adapt), why do you allow 10 lot to be executed? I don't use entry size protection I just saw that I do have something for entry size too and plenty others ...
