DislikedThis is what I wanted to know. Why do most of the people stop trading at the end of the year? Is it because of the holidays or is there anything related to trade which does not work in the favor of the traders. Can somebody help me with this? Thanks in advance.Ignored
After enough unwinding of positions has occurred, the resulting low volume can also cause problems for traders. One of them can be a half dead market with price moving in a tight range. Another can be sudden large, erratic moves in one direction or the other. This doesn’t seem to bother everyone. I can see where some trading styles might handle it well and possibly even thrive. But it hasn’t worked out well for me, so I find it’s a good time to stay on the sidelines.
Even if the low volume doesn’t bother you, it’s still beneficial for most traders to take some time off and enjoy life. We get so isolated and drawn into our own little worlds with trading, that it’s a serious mental health risk. Closing out your trades and staying away from the charts for one, two, or even three weeks will probably do you some good. It's an opportune time to recharge your batteries and get back in touch with areas of your life that you may have been ignoring.
