Probabily they wanted to play that card only when the market is open ...to stop the euro ...a strong euro is bad for exports, you know

COT shows that insitutionals add more long position every week from many months ago.
Long positions are double then shorts.

Dealers are 6 times more shorts than long.

This scenario is strong for bulls pressure.

Bulls will be strong until institutionals start to decrease long position for open shorts.

I assume you're referring to the US government? The recurring bitchfight around the debt ceiling is so commonplace by now it's not even considered political risk anymore. Maybe some twitching, but nothing serious.They'll land it eventually, simply because there is no real alternative.
