I enter 2-3 trades daily based on sr levels and usually collect 30-50 pips from each. Likely could profit more but why be greedy? System is simple and effective.

The only way I trade the daily candle is to enter at the high or low of the previous day's candle WHEN said candle closed in opposite direction of prior day's candle. I skip trades that didn't originate at a major S/R level such as a weekly pivot.

Example:

Today is Thursday and my new daily candle forms at 6pm local time. I will compare yesterday's (Wednesday) candle to Tuesday's. If Wednesday's candle was a bear, and Tuesday's was a bull - I'll be looking to enter at the LOW (not close - low - must include wicks) of Wednesday's candle. If Tuesday's candle was also a bear - there's no entry for me.

You're basically looking to get in early on a new trend reversal and more often than not, a reversal will include multiple candles in the same direction before changing trends again.

Make sense?

Hey Dimdel, nice to me you This is very exciting reading, there's a lot to get through.

I'd like to start demoing this strategy and was wondering what pairs you're looking at at the moment?
Also did anyone ever find out which timeframe (daily vs 4hour) was working the best?
As far as I've read people who don't like being in front of their computer use the daily and the people who like to watch the charts use the the 4hour.

I'll be contributing to this thread soon, happy trading.

Just been backtesting this with forex tester. I've taken every available trade with a standard lot of 1.

This is one of the best systems on FF. But below D1 is super tricky to trade it. Dimdel is using a hell of a multiplier. Something like x2 or x2.5, maybe even higher... We can see we have a SuperMario here. No multiplier in use, whatsoever. With a quite positive result on D1 chasing...

I am struggling trading something similar on live, but H4 gives me quite high DD figures.. D1 delivers much much lower DD, but the waiting is bigger and returns are significantly smaller... Simply put, D1 is tradeable and it is not as half hard as H4 is. Below H4 is pure madness... at least for me.

Hey MoneyZilla, what do you mean 2x or 2.5x multiplier?

I like this method at first glance because it has hard rules, easy to manage, set and forget.
How come you're struggling on your live? Is it the downdraw? I notice there can be quite a bit sometimes. That being said, I haven't blown an account, but I am only looking at one currency pair, I wonder if the downdraw is multiplied when looking at more than 1 pair at a time?

I'm perfectly happy to trade 4h and daily more free time for me

Enter 1 lot. SL hit. Next revenge entry is 2 lots when x2 or 2.5 lots when x2.5

Exactly. I am live trading H4 for quite some months. Trade it yourself for 2-3 months at least and we shall speak then? Losing faith in the system is the least of your problems. At that time...

I have few years of observations on a demo. 28 majors + gold. Most of the times there barely is any DD at all. The EAs I was using could not flip. just TP or SL. After 500%-800% increase in about 6 months of trading all 29 pairs, the moment of death usually poped by...

With the flipping EAs I have not tried this H4/D1 method on more than one pair. I am now only focused on gold... I believe, DD is not your issue when trading multiple pairs. The real challenge is the money management...

I came across this thread and find it quite interesting. I read the first post and I don't understand a few things. Should I just ask out questions here? Do I need to read the 205 pages thread? Is there 1 page that I can read before asking questions about the system here?

I didn't use an EA (is an EA a bot?), I manually placed every trade. Forex tester 2 allows you to go through and backtest charts as if they were live. Good software for those looking to do some testing. Recommended.

Also not sure if I should really post this in here, but it's an interesting experiment. (Same pair and same period as my previous test above)
Inspired by the simplicity and results of this strategy so far I've also been doing a comparison test where I buy when there's higher highs and higher lows and sell when there's lower highs and lower lows. The stop loss always trailing behind the previous peak or trough until kicked out. The results are quite interesting. As you'd expect, a bit of trouble in sideways movement but amazing when trending, you really recoup and some.

Here's the graph I tested and the results. take what you will from it. I might make a separate thread for this if people are interested.

Any filter lines are envelopes on trend indis section on mt4 everything lies is pure price action because of that EA for these system is hard to been made.
