DislikedI {quote} What economic storm do you speak of? I know we’re overdue for a recession. Is that it? I’ve also started stacking bullion again. I’m going to try to avoid higher premium stuff and buy as close to spot as I can. eBay- jmbullion, apmex, etc have accounts and they’re also well known companies with websites for buying. They have sales on eBay sometimes though too.Ignored
It wont take too many rate rises to eventually push things back into recession and into another crisis (similar to 2008 but worse). In the UK, householders can't deal with even a 100 basis point rise in rates before mortgage defaults cascade through the system.
The governments will not be able to bail out the system. They'll either sacrifice the currency or allow a deflationary death spiral.
The best solution would be to hedge against either scenario with everything out of risky assets and into cash and gold. This might be early but best to be prepared.
I know I've recently trashed crypos but one I am actually interested in is IOTA. This crypto fixes a lot of the problems of Bitcoin (ie - the ponzi style mining, transaction fees, network speed etc). Even Microsoft are testing it's potential as more than just a digital currency.
At $3.50 per coin, this might be worth a small punt.
