I just discovered Forex 1 Month ago when traveling because of my job. At night in the hotel room I watched on TV a guy that was selling Forex CD courses on an infomercial, I didn't beleive any word of the spot but when I returned home i entered google to learn more about Forex.

Then I opened my first demo account without any clue of how the system worked and got a return of almost 50% in 3 days, I was so exited that i was just waiting my job pay day to open a real account, but while waiting I read some other pages and discovered that the broker I was using was a possible scam and wasn't even registrated on US, GB or other place... uh

Then I opened again a demo with other broker that is registered and has more or less good reputation, and lost all my balance in just 2 days ja ja ja, opened another demo account and lost 50% of the balance in 2 weeks.

Finally I come across this forum and some online courses to learn more about the issue and this last week I recovered and got a little profit instead of continue losing.

I expect to keep learning and if continue having profit in the demo for another 2-3 weeks I will then open a mini account to trade for real bucks.

discovered forex about 1.5 years ago. been demo-trading ever since. i will go live in the second week of july and trade small position, until i'm comfortable live, then as i go on, i will increase my positions

Once I backed off and discovered the wonderful world of SIMPLICITY, I only then began to see some good results.

It's been an awesome journey and being a part of this group here has surely helped!

welcome to the world of forex,
take your time and don't be in a rush to put real money on the line. learn everything you can and then only start with a small live acount. trading live is much different than demos. it is true that you will learn things live that you cannot learn in a demo. however, take your time. my year and a half journey has finally brought me to profitability.

For the longest time I look for the holy grail. I had always used TA but now I slowly weened myself off of relying on TA.

Now I am TA free cept for TL and S and R and am loving it.

Since 2012 for me. I never opened a live account and probably wont unless im 100% sure my system is profitable.. I know 3 years aint that much but for me too the more i see the less i believe that trading profitably is possible, but who knows...
Been a long time, around 2002 and just a few years after that I was on ForexFactory. I remember a lot of the discussions back then. They were very interesting and it was always exciting to learn something new about Forex trading.

I can attest that there were a few traders backs then that shared their method, and to my surprise they were very profitable. Its been a fun journey and I'm glad I can share a few things others have taught me very unselfishly. I've tried other markets, equities and options. Forex for me may be the most challenging, but it's also the most fun and rewarding if/when you become profitable. No regrets, and lots of thanks to Forexfactory and other great sites that helped me and so many others along the way.
I've never been the betting sort, thank god! At whatever point I'm out with my companions and they choose to free some cash betting dark jack or whatever they are dependent upon, I'm in the bar and at least get liquor for my money. To begin with knew about forex around half year prior, wasn't up to much at the time so I have been at from that point forward. As yet trading little despite everything I commit errors, you know, those eager slip-ups when you know you ought to sit staring you in the face, and still you pull the trigger.
Yeah, I have also been here for around a year and it has been quite a nice experience, there are many experienced traders in here who have helped me a lot in the learning process of mine.
I started forex trading 5 years ago. Initially it was very bad. Actually I started trading without know anything. After losing some money I started to study a lot. Forex is more about emotions than strategy. Yes we need a good strategy but the best strategy will not help you if you can't control your emotions.
I have been trading for well over six years now, if we count the year or so I spent on a demo account. I've had my ups and downs - I have made mistakes, I have been scammed a few times by dishonest brokers, I have learned from many of said mistakes, I've grown, I hope, as a trader. I know, however, that I still have so much to learn.

7 years - but i managed to find profitability only 1 year ago. i studied basically all the forums, many books and some websites - i backtested and simulated a lot of ideas prior to the entering in the markets.

It has been 6 years I am trading forex. It was not a good journey. First 4 years was like nightmare. It was like struggling with everything. In those 4 years I have learned one thing, unless you have your own style of trading, consistent profit is not possible. Sometimes a very simple thing works great. You need the patience and the quest for learning.
