{quote} May nearly sold us out yesterday, DUP were the necessary check. May needs to go, I’m convinced (now) she has got what it takes. Too bad because I think she is a good person who means well.

She will probably have a few more dinners with Juncker and over some fine wine come up with £100bn for nothing much else. (By the way it was 20bn not long ago so how did it get to 50bn and what else did we get for it?) Then there will be another referendum: leave with 100bn bill or stay.

Were there not 40 MPs who backed the vote of no confidence but they were 8 short in forcing a leadership contest?

Im not sure of the numbers re leadership contest, but I do feel (like you) that this negotiation has turned into a total farce.

{quote} I emailed Twee months ago suggesting that those who do not have permission to post in a thread should also not have the right to report abuse in that thread. Twee said he thought it was a good idea and he would put it to the team. I never heard any more. I think something needs to be done though to prevent spiteful retributions.

I wonder if it is posters jen. I am a lefty and I am friends with most if not all of the lefty posters. While they do come by and read the thread, I hope that none of them are so small as to report a conversation as offensive that they are not a part of. Political threads are heavily moderated. I would say that if the people in the thread itself are not offended, then no CoC should be forthcoming.

We are pawns in a game verv. Left or right of center does not really matter. It is just a way to pass the time.

{quote} I think I did, just not the way you wanted to hear it, as you are fixated on equal retribution. Like a son and his father having a discussion, but the son is more concerned with his sister who is sitting in the back seat with him in the car who sticks her tongue out to him to rub it in further, but wants her to be punished the same. That wasn't my point, but to appeal to your higher senses, to take the high road.

{quote} We're all getting sucked down the toilet together. We're all going to swim in the same shit! It's called communism. {quote} Thank goodness for NI. Leaving the EU is a completely separate thing to what deal we can do if at all. It is not dependent on the deal. We should be leaving no matter what. Hopefully we just go with no deal now but I have a suspicion May is all out to sabotage it. I argued with you last week and I get 2 more CoC's. I think it may be because I muttered the M word, the N word, the J word and a certain shitester was spying....

Ha! Maybe, but I am still holding out hope that there are still champions among us.

I watched this yesterday, and I swear I was watching an episode of Monty Python with this commie Russell Brand. Is this the same guy who was complaining that Hugo Boss was the designer for the SS? What gave it away? "Oh we just need to evenly distribute the wealth around to the poor little folks". British television is so strange.

The dam has to break eventually, and in it's wake hoping the sewer contents surges out to sea never to be seen again. IMO, every single one of them need to be shot out of canon into space.

Dragging up Russell Brand! No one takes him seriously here by the way. He is too much of a joke.

What I am failing to understand is that why do we need all these concessions before they even talk trade deals with us. In a divorce, assets are shared out. They tell us we have to honour our commitments, but the commitments were only up to 2019. They want beyond that. Then what about all that we have invested in? Do we not get a share of the proceeds? If you actually balanced out the commitments vs. the proceeds, you will find that they actually owe us money as per what Nigel has been saying. They should be paying us!

We haven't even started to talk trade yet. So what, BMW will stop selling to the UK, their biggest market? BMW will put massive tariffs on their cars? This year BMW introduced new models which are already 10% more expensive than previously (but they are currently offering deals equivalent to 10% off!) I think they have already accounted for Brexit! Why do we need trade deals? Is that not just another term for protectionism? What is wrong with a free market? Why do we need the EU anyway? We should be strengthening ties with the Commonwealth which by comparison dwarfs the EU.

To be truthful, I think it is the EU shitting themselves that we will go elsewhere, that we will find better and cheaper in a free market. Why are we caring when we have the spending power? Crazy!

Signed. Though it's not up to us is it? The Conservatives don't work like Labour where all members get a vote and you could become a member for £3. That's how Corbyn got in because he was seen as so ridiculous he never had a chance - people joined the Labour party and voted him in. Though I think Labour have changed their rules now.

Why not JRM for PM now to ensure we do get Brexit and May doesn't screw it up?

I am all for freedom of speech and I am vehemently against censorship. That sort of behaviour belongs to the left, but what is happening here is NOT a level playing field.

No mentioning on here what Trump did today then.

Thanks for the heads up jen. So Trump did it. He has recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. I am personally okay with that. Trump gave the Zionists a dog whistle for it to be open season on the Palestinians. They will overreach, and finally us Yanks will see what the rest of the world already sees.

No that wasn't a heads up. It was just to highlight how we are treading on eggshells. I really would rather not do this as it goes against my beliefs of free speech, but may I ask you to refrain from expressing your views on matters where a counter argument is likely to result in being censored? For the sake of some parity. Thanks.
