depends on the motherboard! the cpu at this days can handle it without a problem, so with a i5 and i7 wihout any problem 3 display are useable, with a i3 maybe 2-3 (never used, so others need to tell or use some computer froum). intern gpu with intel cpu will be much enough for you. you can add always later a graphiccard without any problems, when your situation changes.

when you use many hours a trading computer take a look for ssd and power supply, rest can be same like any normal computer, maybe special ram for math calculating programs in extrem versions (but this is not the case here). trading pc is only called , because its sound better and can be sold more expansive on some websites, all there are only standard computers with maybe extrem little modifications ( not all of ocurse , some are different and optimized extrem for trading, but even as professional you dont use this all, so its a nice to have, but no nice to use in most cases). you need to have a backup laptop all the time, thats most important!

what is ssd and power supply ? Also what screen is good for long hours infront of computer ?

maybe you should google this, because its important points, in short: powersupply gives energy to your computer and ssd saves data, like hdd before, only faster technology.

screens change so often, depends what you are looking for, what kind of resolution. take full hd, will be ok with 24 screen size. i use onls 34 and 27, so cant say in 24 whats good, but many can help you here, or simple google this fact, there wil be many possible hits , because its a common question.

all will do the job. it all depends what you want, if you start trading, use your old computers, even a core2duo will do the job with 2 monitors, or buy a used computer by ebay (but test it in real before!)- in ebay many sell there older computer for extrem low prices, because hardware and software has extrem high loss in value. i would use a 250gb ssd as minimum, maybe 500gb, but really also this depends what you use it for and how much place you need.
Get a powerful Windows VPS for £50 or so per month. Maybe even two? I have like 18... Start with two of these.

Advantages are many. 24/5 online. Fast ping. Higher uptime. Professional service behind.

Two cheap monitors with a basic PC, just for the remote desktop visualization.

And you are ready to conquer the markets!:-)

Trading, surfing reading pdf, books looking at youtube and so on nothing demanding watching movies maybe some.

Most things i can do with my cheap laptop but i thout maybe i need more to run mt4 for backtesting and so on and also the use of 2 screens. for now i watch movies and mt4 with no backtesting without problems.

vps for storing and or for something that needs me not to turn of the computer maybe like an Ea but but am not sure i have any use of this.

even your old laptop can handle a second screen! there are also usb connected screens possible (response is slower but for charts still fine) if you dont have any VGA, DVI, HDMO display port or whatever connector on your laptop. so maybe save your money and use this.

and by the way: youtube, movies, facebook, .... and some other programs can have higher impact on your computer then you think about. some really use lot of cpu and ram.

saving money is best on starting. and what is most important: do you really like to learn trading step by step? if not, save all your money what you want invest in a trading pc and use your old laptop, and replace this laptop later. its not a easy business, you need money later very often.
use demo account only until you get how all works, then put in real account (only cent account!!!) and put in very very very small money! and then test trading. and use this account like its a big account, and no cent account.

Trading even one pair with 1 screen can be problematic(I use my phone most of the time). How long do you intend to fit 4+ timeframes, multiple news feeds, the actual order screen, and the forum/web browser on 1 monitor? O_o

You need to have well maintained computer with proper RAM and OS and a good internet connection to become successful in the Forex Market.

You can probably get the 2 monitors/screens at a later point. Initially you can save and just share one screen with 2 computers. This type of device works for me: http://bit.ly/2iq09MW Always have at least 2 good working computers. I think it's important to go with reliability moreso than just speed. Fortunately Forex software applications like Metatrader is so fast and light on computer resources that we don't need the really high end machines. Under $300 and $250 will get the job done. 2GHz CPU with at least 4-8 G of RAM. Computers with accelerated graphics cards certainly give the computer some zip and would help for say when you connect remotely to VPS servers with your autotrading.

It's important to get computers that are low powered that can be run for many hours of the day 8, 12 often 16 hours . I live in the tropics and back in the day I'd burn through computers in less than 2 years. Computers today fortunately are much more energy efficient and less power hungry.

And last if you trade using custom indicators,then you might need more powerful processor,again depend how the indicator works.More complicated calculation,the more it will drain the cpu.Specially when you open many charts and many bars to calculate

chances are you dont need to get broke to have a 'trading computer'
mine isnt new, has an i5 3.2GHz, upgraded ram to 16 GB, SSD for system, and regular HDD for the rest, a NVidia card that even new was not top of the line...
all that, with the 2 monitors, when new cost me approx 1500$...
assume, today you can get better specs for the same $$$...yet what i have does all i need 2 yrs old and all...( that includes some indies, a bunch of MT4s, etc).

"trading computer" for 4-5k?
use the difference to fund an account, and you will be glad you did!

not for trading and most of the time charts are most graphic to display, intels intern gpu is much enough for 3 monitors when you have only such simple graphic parts ,.... . for playing games its correct. i would take i7 7700k or 8700k or the i5 or i7 versions without "k" (you only need for overclocking to get more single core performance) if you want go cheaper.
Monitors - 1080 resolution is a must. Do not ever acquire a 720 line monitor.

On a budget - Any duo-core machine is fine at around a hundred bucks (used). - A dual monitor video card is around fifty bucks.

I get 32" 1080p smart TV monitors at Worst Buy for 200usd.

No need for a water-cooled cpu when vps is available for backtesting.

*You could throw 150 at the machine (used) and the whole system is done for 6 bills. A wireless mouse is about nine bucks
