Just buy a basic computer from a store that isn't expensive and be able to dual monitor with the graphics card.

look for some minimum decisions:
- ssd would be nice for fast computer and faster backtest...
- enough RAM , at minimum 4 GB, better 8 (maybe 16, i dont know what you plan to open and do)
- laptop or desktop?
desktop is faster, more quit, better upgradable
laptop has already one display (so only one left), has a UPS inside (batterie), is portable

best is you tell laptop or desktop pc ,what max price you want to invest and what you want do do with it (what programs to open same time, how many tabs open in browser, facebook, skype same time...?.)

Hi

If you are addicted to trading and sometimes playing high graphic games, I suggest you my Computer Part List:

Monitor: BenQ SW 2700 (27 Inch 2560x1440 QHD Resolution / you can use each of these 3 monitors with PORTRAIT Possition / I have 3 numbers and all of them working together)
VGA: ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP EXTRIME 11G (it support 3 Display Port + 1 Monitor Port + 1 HDMI Port)
CPU: 7700K Intel Core i7
MotherBoard: ASUS ROG STRIX Z270 G
RAM: GSKILL D4 TDZ 2*8GB 3000 RGB
SSD: SSD PATRIOT HELLFIRE M2 480GB
POWER: ThermalTake TP GRAND FULL 850W
COOLING: Antec Mercury 240
Case: ThermalTake View 31TG RGB

TOTAL PRICE: LESS THAN 4500 USD it depend on your country market

You can change everything from this list, but I recommend at least Three 27 inch monitors for a day trader with at least 160 or 180 CM Stable working Table

guy I have a cheap laptop from best buy works great.
why would you need 2 screens if you are new to trading
it is hard enough to trade one pair when you are new
let alone more.

Some years ago traders would day trade with less PC power than your smartphone has today.
Every standard desktop or laptop will do the trick. However I would recommend two monitors if you trade multiple pairs and timeframes, and personally laptop over desktop, because sometimes it is helpful beeing able to connect to the market from different places.

and in current situation take a new i7 8700k if you really build a new computer for hard using, maybe even a more core version if you really do many multiple tasks.

The important parts for trading is cpu and ram graphic card only has to have some more inputs for some more Screens when you want to upgrade. But for 2 screens everything will work. Dont buy a finished pc. Buy the parts.

And if you daytrade a Power interruption protection would not be too stupid

If you build your pc yourself around 500-600 dollar will be enough. With SSD

You can buy ram and cpu used.
Everyday better.

Trading doesn't require even a GPU in my opinion..All you need is a moderate core i3 with at least 4GB Ram....Thats for when u do a lot of activities example Backtesting,Optimization of EA's....if you need a pc to trade only manually i can tell u even an intel atom processor notebook pc will do the job

take one samsung evo ssd (big enough for all your backtest data, so maybe 500gb), 8-16 gb ram (is not this expensive), backup your data on a intern hdd drive each time you did important change, 2 monitors are really what you like ( many possibilities, i like very small edges), i like the gaming keyboards and mouse from logitech (with macro keys), take a good power supply (dont save on this point), when you have a mobilphone or tablet or laptop to work with when there are energy problems then you dont need a device for this, fractal defign case when you want a more silent pc (put in a good big nocta cooler), lan port if you have lan cable, ...

i would take a intel cpu (the integrated graphics are enough for what you want, so no gbu neccessary). what cpu you take, depends how much you will spend for the computer? you need different motherboard and cpu for different price and power.

1000-1500 is much enough, then you get very good parts, take the i7-8700k cpu, this intern gpu is enough and 6 cores futures proof (you dont play or)?

metatrader 5 is multicore (at least in backtest, in main terminal i dont know, never used), metatrader 4 singel core, but you can start many metatrader 4 terminals same time, whats best to , in each you split different currencies and strategies, one you only use as terminal for your history trades, one for open trades and so one.... so screen easy to setup, at least with many monitors. and you can do so many backtests same time. at least for trading its good to have more then 1 terminal, or only 1 trade is possible to do in 1 expert at one time, and other need to wait until is possible to trade again (but maybe for amny its not important to wait some milliseconds, but maybe some use bad brokers with very long time to fill).

i only know what you want to open, not how many charts, currencies you open, and how many metatrader terminals. or how important are fast backtests for you? faster cpu helps a lot with backtest, many cores help with many different threads (like many programs running same time and needed to work same time), many ram help for many tabs in browser, many charts, long history in charts loaded, many indicators und experts,....)
you can test what you have with your computer at the moment (inside task manager) to know how much cpu and ram is used at minimum, and do this by doing maximum work in all what can open same time.
at what level you are in trading?
