H1 trend..

At tier 1 I see flow, I check whats my blotter direction,
what did big orders do, how often they are hitting me.
where are the ducks, how large are they piling.
But as trader you cannot see flow, so watch the pips move, it should tell you.

trends mean different things to different people.

the accepted definition of a trend is a persistent direction of move,
on an up trend the highs get higher and low stays higher,
conversely a down trend, when the low gets lower and the high stays lower.

no trends move in a straight line advance or decline.
within any major trend, there are minor trends, then there are intraday trend, hourly trends and so forth.
its your choice to decide which is within your scope to cope with.

bears have to cross three reveres, bulls have three defending lines. this is normal trading what everyone is thinking about including market makers. so peoples tend to put there stop loss bellow these points. and these sitting ducks are easy to locate, so never ever put stop loss around resistance/support areas they will be the trigger. just watch the move if the price goes there and turn back with in short time than it is stop hunting and possible reversal is possible. if price stay there with side ways action careful it is preparation of another attack.

with 1581 still active.. for shits and giggles, i am not long.. i plan on shorting.. anyway 1579 touched, may end with a close above 1581.. it could end up to 1634.. but that alone wouldn't give me a entry.
1579 + entry is about 1580x.. stop at 1578 would be tight, sometimes enough

i plan on being asleep. i didnt want to manage any trades. i put my entry just below where i wanted to place my s/l. sleep like a babe.. wake up with nothing or a small loss, or a shit eating grin.

thinking 1579 gets a minimal visit or more. maybe 1581 or 86 catches the close. and it may bounce it off 1579 to 1634. i think 1579 happens.. the rest more fantasy. 1621 more likely than 1634 or 1656 test. but my stops are closer to 1657+.. so i placed entry near.
