Gravity doesn't ignore anything. It's all about how much energy a molecule has. As a gas, it is bouncing around other water molecules and air. If I shoved a rocket up your arse, I think even you may be able to overcome gravity for a while.

It surprises me that the $upporter$ are still more burdened with crazy-granny Hill as for example 3000 dead in NY.

FBI documents, submitted as evidence, claimed that the two Saudi nationals who came to the US, Mohammed al-Qudhaeein and Hamdan al-Shalawi,
were in fact members of “the Kingdom's network of agents” in the country. The documents claimed the men trained in Afghanistan with a number
of other al-Qaeda operatives that participated in the attacks.
Qudhaeein was allegedly employed at the Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Islamic Affairs, and Shalawi was a “longtime employee of the Saudi
government” in Washington DC.
In November 1999 they boarded an America West flight to Washington, and tried to access the cockpit several times, asking the flight
attendants “technical questions” and making the staff “suspicious”.
Qudhaeein reportedly asked staff where the bathroom was and was pointed in the right direction; instead he tried to enter the cockpit.
The pilots made an emergency landing in Ohio and the two men were released after an initial interrogation from the FBI.
Their plane tickets were reportedly paid for by the Saudi Embassy, according to Kristen Breitweiser, whose husband was killed in 9/11.

Btw, I noticed recently that Cliff Edwards was banned (LOL). Anyone know what happened there? Was it for his double standards reporting of other members?

Ok here goes. It is said that the atmosphere and earth are essentially in unison. It is said that our movement on the earth is not independent of the atmosphere. So if I jump straight up in the air I land on the same spot. I don't land say 60 feet away due to the earth's rotation. So on that basis how the hell can they try and beat the earths rotational speed ? If they heading into the setting sun and earth rotating at 650 miles per hour and they matches the speed in reverse direction that would mean they would hover in the sky once at that speed and time would stand still. How can that be if our movement is not independent of the earth ? That would imply that there should be vast differences in east-west west/east air travel and we know that isn't the case.

Yeah thats something else I have a problem with -
The circumference of earth is 25k miles and the speed of the ISS is 17k mph - Meaning it goes round the earth once abt every 2 hrs - really?

Do you know how fast that actually is?

Ten times faster than a bullet and its not slowing down or getting closer to earth - just doesn't add up.

And yes I did science at school, but I was also taught to use my brain and ask questions.

So we are weightless on the ISS but the gravitational pull is strong enough to keep the ISS in perfect Orbit? And the ISS is travelling ten times faster than a bullet.

All I said was I wanted to end the discussion about the lake.

Regarding your video; they are trying to catch the sun from setting so they are travelling against the direction of the spin not with the spin.

You would be in orbit just like ISS. Speed is relative.
