stopped out. at least its green pips. 2nd green trade of this week. cross fingers for more to come.

Back to EUR. I don't believe this 'green' data for one second. Does anyone think these statistics can be manipulated? I heard one say that unemployment in USA is actually close to 20%, but because of various calculations this is factored out.

I do get some success. These boxes are usually formed around the London open. Often the break out will be very dynamic. I find that if the box is smaller than the H4ATR(24) then it has the best success. Then you have to be ready for the retest of the box, like we are having now. Whether you stay in at this stage is usually a matter of nerve. I find having very low leverage and very low expectations a help. I don't use fibs much, I use the fib tool as a measuring stick.

Seems like you are hardly resisting what's probably attached deep in your genes my friend.. one more "minding other's business" or "braggery" and rules will do its magic..

Cool man. Why 24HourATR? This is 4 days, wouldn't a more even measure like 120 day be viable. Why cut off at 4 day? I suppose the difference is minimal.

I mean 24 period ATR, which I find to be useful. Any more than that reflects the past more than the present volatility. It's only a rough guide. There's a lot of discretion.

Tell me, what is more likely- someone on Forex Factory stating that unemployment is actually 20% in the USA (providing no proof) or the monthly unemployment that has been tracked for decades, released every month, is tracked by professionals whom make a living gathering such statistics...etc

The numbers aren't fudged- you're speaking conspiracy theorys. But if you insist on it, the numbers coming out of communist states are much more likely to be fudged being that all information (aka propaganda) is provided by one source comprised of a single or even a select few of individuals.

i tend to agree. but to be honest, you canīt compare us and (for example) german unemployment data because of the diverging methodology. if the german method would be applied to the us labour market, unemployment figure would rise sharply. one can only look at the change in data over time and compare it with the expected value once new data is released.
