Hello tony, hello everyone, nice work you've got going on here really an eye opener. Thank you. Pls i would like to know which brokers offers least slippage apart from oanda cause i heard that even pepperstone had very high negative slippage. Any suggestions anyone?

What made you decrease your profit target to 80 from 150?

Do you think these specific nuances are necessary for overall profit longterm or can someone just in general swing at all red news with about a 15 pip stop and a 150 pip take profit, winning more than 10%?

Executed a few trades last week. Everything went as planned. Missed some others because of a faulty alarm. Got that fixed. Looking to pull the trigger on 100% this week. Down 7.5% so far. Risking 2.5% per trade to make 25% per trade. My initial plan was all red news 15 and 150 or (or 20 and 200 because oanda's mobile app doesn't have a 150 pip auto TP option) with 30% of Leveraged NAV, hoping to win 3/10 over the next 2 years, ten trades a week on average.

Hi Malachi, seems like you have solid plan. Stick to it.

The reason I decreased the targets from 150 to 80 is because the amount of news this week is important. Some trades will not reach TP before another news comes out. It's necessary that you use your full potential on all news and have all of your available margin at that time. All trades must be closed before trading any news. Oanda doesn't offer a lot of leverage, only 1:50 in my case.

Faulty alarms have made me lose thousands of dollars to this day. Be organised and careful. I suggest you trade only the selected news that I post weekly and not all red news. Thank you for your trust and good luck.

Thanks. I'll do my best. If it goes anything like projections, here's to living like the Kardashian's in 12 months. I need $7M to bounce total. Already part of the way there.

Understood on targets. Changed the auto tp and sl in my app for this week. However, note that in order to risk 2.5% per trade on 15 pips at 50:1 leverage you only need 30% of Leveraged NAV on USD base pairs, leaving 3 total trades available at a time. I'm using Oanda as well.

Any suggestions on a good alarm? Do you use an app? Why not use an EA like this since Oanda utilizes MT4?

Thanks for the suggestion, I will follow your posted news this week and ongoing until you don't post it, if that ever happens. In which case I'll revert to said heuristic.

Hi guys,

Looking forward to a good month.

From Friday 20th (one week and a day till now) testing the strategy with a couple of contracts I have achieved the following:

+60 pips (hit my TP - but price action went to 120 pips)
+40 pips (hit my TP - but price action went to 120 pips)
-20 pips (slipped 3 pips)
BE
BE
-12/ +12 pips (slow loser - so closed and reversed for BE) (( I wont trade opposite direction if I get direction wrong other than to make one attempt, in the correct direction, on a pull back to make back any loss).

So at this stage I am up ~80 pips - not too bad for a warm up. Would have made a killing if I had set TP out to 120 pips.

Am interested to see how slippage goes - right now it is net in my favour. As we have discussed I am hoping the slippage will not be too bad as I am taking trades against the difference between Previous and Forecast. Time will tell.

In the beginning, I started the thread as a hobby and because I was so excited to learn and show my success and errors to the community.
I was still in the learning process (10 years ago) even though I had thousands of hours of monitoring on my back.
This thread has disciplined me in doing the right thing and growing with everyone and their knowledge and experience. A lot of members of the forum have also helped me get away with gambling which was a huge problem with me in the past. Now the engine is running and the plane is flying... so many years after... I welcome anyone aboard. I don't lose from it. Either way, even if you show a winning formula to someone, only winners will be able to use it and win at the end! I'll always remember the day when I proposed to a stripper (back in the day lol) to play heads or tails. Tails would give her 100$ and heads would make her lose 20$. I asked her if she would play all her life and she said no cause she was scared to still lose. It's all on you. Some people manage to fail after winning 50 mill on the lottery too! It's all in the head. Some people are afraid to swim in the ocean because of sharks but a eagerly running to fast food joints when certain death awaits them.

Amazing. Do it clock-work this week with the news I highlighted and your account will grow. Do not extend or get tempted by extending the stop-losses and you're on your way to the top. You must use a broker that doesn't slip a lot.
