If someone have questions about Metatrader 4, because of anything connected to the platform (trading, menu, backtest,...), you can write, what you wants to know or what you dont like in Metatrader 4 and can maybe improved.

Dukas trader knows more than anyone I know about MT 4. He has helped me a lot!

I have a question.
Every time I close and open my MT4 platform, I lose all of my tool bars.
I have to put them all back.
Is there any way I can tell MT4 to save my settings?

can you tell me , what exactly are this "tool bars"? i am from germany, so i ask only to be sure we speak about same things.
if we speak about the normal menu tools icons, this should be saved normally. and by reopen is same like you closed it.

can you make two simple screenshots with before closing and after reopening? all private parts (accountnumber, money, strategies,..) please do not show and delete from screenshot or make not visible.

First picture is without any toolbars. It looks like this everytime I first launch it.

The second picture is after I have restored the toolbars.

looks like you are in fullscreen mode!
close and restart your metatrader station again, then use "F11" (or in menu "View" the last point "full screen") to leave this fullscreen mode (and change so in normal mode) and test it again with closing and restarting your metatrader terminal, and problem should be solved?

because when you close in fullscreen mode it will open in fullscreen mode, and in this mode you have no toolbars, to see most of the charts.

an other tip: your toolbar is 2 lines, you can drag and drop the 2. line toolbars and put in first line (so you see more from other parts of chart or terminal because of save one line...). best is to configure the toolbox, so you only have in what you realy need and on the place you need it (and delete what you dont need). saves a lot of time, and some icons like "windows arranging" can be annoying, if you push it by mistake.

some f11 button you may be pressed.. once if you set that with f11 and it wont be disappear..
i got this problem since a year ago and i did 2 3 times and now not having problem so try for that ... all the best

If I want to see a particular 5 M bar from 2 years ago, is there a way to go directly to it?
I know I can scroll back but that takes a long time.

Let's say i want to see the 5M bar for EUR/USD on Dec. 27, 2016 at 14:30.

you need to have loaded the history in metatrader or this currency and it need to be enough history. then you can use "space" or "enter" key to activate the little window in chart in left down corner. there you put in date and time (like 2015.12.27 14:30). press enter and finished.

then you could also say "read the complete manual/help with F1" and you even have much more information.

Getting error "Invalid S/L or T/P". The current price is between TP and entry point, so Limit Order should be OK. Also all values are further that 3.1 (3100 points) from each other. Need help please.
