tick volume on lower timeframes (1h and below) is almost identical to real volume

Everything else being equal (i.e. 1:1 RR or better), a win rate of >50% will deliver positive expectancy. That's the math based perspective I was coming from. I didn't mean to suggest that it was easy, just that it was the minimum performance benchmark that discretionary traders tend to aim for. Perhaps in hindsight I shouldn't have used the word "only".

Anyway, the main point I was attempting to make resides in the post's final paragraph.

Indeed, price reflects all relevant information impacting a particular market...... if you subscribe to the core tenet of technical analysis.

Today the new PM of NZ was elected.
I really wonder why this event is not present in any forex calendar (tried dailyfx, ff, fxstreet, myfxbook).


Could you tell me where I could see this one coming up?


Edit: I can see now that Parliamentary Elections was on calendar on Sep 23. The winner was announced on a random day?

The election took place back on 23 Sept. The initial result was inconclusive, with neither of the two major parties gaining the majority needed to govern, and nobody knew when (or how) the coalition government would be decided upon. After about 3 weeks of talks and negotiations, they finally reached a decision today.

I expect the NZD to fall significantly over the coming days/weeks.

Yes, except that it always takes a few days to count special votes.

forexlive.com infomed about the press conference about 1 hour before the occurance. I have tis site open on jy browser always

Hello David.

in MT5, if one draw line in let say H1 and then switch to M5 then on mouse over line it will pop up text saying that in was drawn in H1.
is it possible to create indicato/script to do same in MT4? sorry if I asked something inappropriate. I have no programming knowledge....

I guess it would be possible to have a script that plots a line, interrogates the chart timeframe, and places an appropriate message (e.g. "created in H1") in the object description. Then hovering over the object with the mouse (in any timeframe) automatically displays the object description.

Do you have any indicator that plots simple vertical lines at given timew for the certain amount of past days and into the future.

I tried some indis, but they all have different flaws/bugs.

Only the attached one. It can plot lines for past days but not future. More info here.
