In today's age we are used to believe in "work hard and you'll prosper". Yet, most of our life is determined by our genes, when we were born and when we were born, as some sociologists and philosophers would argue. I think that's what CP means when he says that his success is determined mostly by luck(genetics, time and place). I prefer the term "out of our control" instead of "luck". One can't be a NBA superstar being born blind in the year 854 AD. Working hard is just an add on, a must do!

I think that's what CP means and if so, it takes a humility to recognize that. Anyways, just sharing some thoughts and thanks CP for sharing your life experience, it really is appreciated. I think I speak for many.

If this is somewhat accurate representation of your 6 Dimension Charting theory then all i want to know is....1) are these 6 dimension in one direction or split evenly as 3 dimensions up and 3 dimensions down 2) Does the distance between each dimension vary in size at any given point in (clock) time within 24 hours (or during active session) or does the distance remain fixed/constant once they are determined by whatever method you use?

Edit1: I think your secret edge is in the dimensions used to exit trades and NOT in your indicators or entries!

Edit2: Based on your style of entries from what I know and can tell, you don't need any moving average or indicators. Tick and M1 is plenty to gauge momentum as key levels without use of stops and razor sharp discipline to cut your loss quickly.

Edit3: I also think you (or your indicators) do not look at anything about last 60 minutes on M1+Tick. I also yhink you won't be able to trade (or your indicators will not work) in MT4 platform due to limited ticks. FXCM TS2 tick charts are awesome. Would you agree?

Edit4: I also think your strategy works only with one open trade at a time on a pair. It will fail if you plan more than one floating position or more than one pair.

Edit5: and finally, in regards to the title of this thread, there is an EDGE in one Candle but NOT in ONE candle on any given timeframe that most of us SEE on charts. You reconstruct the 'Candle' based on looking back at X M1 candles during London session (and it is proven to work work only on GU but I could be wrong about GU).

Edit6: CP... I don't want the details. A simple thumbs up or down will do for me indicating whether you agree or disagree. I am not looking to steal your edge. I am only looking for relevance with my automated strategy.

At 8M... 50% is margin (4M). 25% is sitting there for buffer (2M) The remaining 2M is what I trade. I limit my profit per year at around 100%. First trigger is my stop loss.
If that slipped >>> margin stop is triggered (at 2M)
Any further than that... broker will halt all trading.
So basically, I have a 6M buffer in an event of a flash crash.

I've studied flash crashes, they tend to snowball first, before the flash.
I've tinkered my system around such events.
Legit Brokers have set parameters after certain points to halt all trading (unless its a bucket shop broker).

Regarding Dimension I don't want to further share info on that

There is more than meets the eye.
Everything is taken into account; indicators, discipline, etc... are all incorporated into the "whole trading system/strategy/plan"

Agree.
I don't predict the future. I don't look at history (longer than my tick). I follow price.
My whole system is based on tick with a scientific mathematical reasons.

Why would you trade multiple pairs if 1 pair is enough to be highly profitable?
Trading multiple pairs are very inefficient.
Copernicus' excellent post and research on Diversification is very inefficient.
Could make profit, but very inefficient.

It works on any Currency.
I trade GU because of its high volume trade, high range and movement.
Higher edge within a single candlestick is actually old school concept of trading and has nothing to do with my scalping.
But you can always scalp on top of old school concept of trading.
I don't look back at history. Tick chart for me is simply a ticker tape converted into a tick chart. So I don't reconstruct anything.

ISP outage?
Dude I got back ups!!!
Spare computer (+phone), spare off grid electricity, spare ISP on standby.
I can call my broker to close my trade.
LOL - its a different scenario when you're trading a bigger account.

But how can you make 15% with 44pips on GU without more than 2 leverage?

Just trying to rule out any influence of MM or RR or TM into your overall edge and profitability.

Regarding ISP and backup power etc....i am completely aware of all the protections. My reference was in relation to your scalping strategy when seconds could wipe out years of profits if you are not careful.

I don't avoid red news. I won't have an open trade run through a red news, unless I've made readjustments in very rare cases.

Do you know how big banks work with blackboxes automated robots?
They have the engineer/trader/coder/programmer/developer babysit the robot every second to watch for glitches and malfunctions.
No robot is left alone. The human's job is to babysit the robot.

Now a retail trader will go to sleep or walk away while the robot is working.

My strategy/system won't fail when automated.... but it will have glitches and malfunctions just like any program.
And thus also need to be babysit every second.
There are moral ethics and consequences why I haven't automated my system.
