DislikedIf the UK had similar gun laws to USA I would own one. The police have steadily become like the military and their reasons are to deal with the modern issues we are faced with in society. Strange thing is that generally the police aren't the first in line to meet the issues, it is the public and then the police respond and often it is too late to stop anything. So while the police have had their arsenal increased we the public have gone backwards even to the extreme that carrying a pocket knife ( as a boy I always had a pen knife) can be an offence....Ignored

Disliked{quote} sorry jen but that is poor logic most burglar don't even like to have a screwdriver or hammer on them tools that make it easier to break into someones house because if they got caught on the way to burglar a house in the possession of them they are going to got in trouble example your on the way to burglar a house and get pulled over or stopped and searched you have a hammer on you and a screwdriver and some gloves the police automatically know what you are doing and they will charged you with the possession of a weapon you are now down...Ignored

Disliked{quote} i remember you saying you have a education in engineering which made you think the world is flat as a kid did you ever play the game where you put water in a bucket and spin the bucket over your head but the water did not fall on you i still don't understand why but with less water you had to spin the bucket faster that why the water is at a level just on a far bigger scale we have our own atmosphere what model do you think the world is most flat Earth people think it's the United Nations symbol?Ignored

Disliked{quote} Ross I have never actually said I believe it's flat. The bucket experiment always depends on how much water you put in the bucket, when it's swung both the bucket and water are traveling in the same direction and therefore the water stays contained, no one does it with a full bucket. If everything is relative and gravity is acting on everything soak the outer surface of a ball and spin it, see if gravity keeps the water on the ball's surface.Ignored
Disliked{quote} Stu, you did well there mate. You had a legitimate call for self-defence imho. Is that what is called 'aggravated burglary', taking weapon into a crime? There are times when I think our system is all wrong, and your experience is exactly one of those times. I have wrestled (briefly) with thoughts about what to do and how to justify and it comes down to this: a person who breaks into your house carrying "a tool" is not bringing flowers nor best wishes. Therefore if they are 'injured' it is their own fault and should be considered as a consequence...Ignored

Disliked{quote} Insurance won't erase the trauma of facing masked idiots wielding guns from kids minds. I owned a pub years ago for a while and my Mother stayed over there with my sister one weekend. I was away. Anyway after closing time and pub closed two masked armed men who had hidden in the toilets went about robbing the place and violently attacked the manager in front of my sister and Mother. That experience affected my Mother for the rest of her days, she just couldn't erase the experience. She wasn't personally attacked but the whole experience...Ignored
