Yesterday on R4 @ 5pm they played an unedited sound clip from somebody who happened to be at the concert. Either he was taking his time changing magazines or it was unfamiliar to him. The number of casualties is amazing/sad/atrocious/stunning ....

Thanks EX will take a look tonight. Really sad about the people that age being in that predicament, when we are hell bent on housing the rest of the world's population.

I was thinking the same. I was in Bilbao when the Basque separatist movement was still particularly active and I have to say there were three types of police on the streets. Those in white helmets were ok - they were friendly and did things like direct traffic etc. then there were the regular uniformed type - they had guns but were kinda ok. The Brown-shirts on the other hand were scary and more paramilitary-like and drove around in Tan coloured vans and if they saw a group of people together they would screech to a halt and split the group (hardly call them crowds) up and they weren't particular how they did it.

I can imagine easily (having seen this and how brutal they could be) the police brutality that is claimed about them trying to break up the referendum...

Now I wonder what Barnier will make of needing to negotiate a new EU deal with Catalonia...

i was told he was waiting for people to think it was ok to get up and run to safety before shooting them maybe that's why it was not just a consistent sound of gun fire
