Hi Tony, I just stumbled upon your thread here and I instantly became interested since I too dabble around with High Impact News trading. Have you ever used an EA that trades all the Pairs of which ever currency you choose? Then just open those trades seconds after the news is released? When I find more time I plan on catching up on your strategy. It appears I will have to set aside a decent amount of time to get up to date. Congrats on your success!

Hi Tony, just a quick observation. The Mon Oct 2 11.30pm AUD Cash Rate news you highlighted above as 'red news' is actually shown as 'amber news' on FF calender. Do you trade 'amber news' (medium impact news) as well? Thanks

AUD cash rate and RBA Rate Statement normally come together and create a lot of volatility when they are published. This month it didn't move much. Move on to the next news.

There is some volatility spark when NY or London opens and you could monitor those, although I'd rather go where I know there is ''big waves''

For example; someone knows that Hawaï has big waves to surf ... Cuba... Cayo Largo is the best for waves... you don't wanna gamble too much and end up in front of a pond.

I suggest you trade the main news with a tight SL.

You can monitor the speeches just by looking at the 5 second chart on oanda's platform. No need to listen to the actual talk. You can do it if you're curious
