What helped you the most to be profitable?

It's best to learn independently from a variety of reputable sources e.g. well-rated books on amazon. Every author will have his/her own approach and it is your job to decide what you believe in. Finding a mentor is indeed difficult. Most of scams, and good ones sure won't come cheap.

My trading plan helps me a lot to manage my daily trading target quite comfortably! But till now, sometimes I fail but in average I am a profitable Forex trader, that’s my comfortable zone! I think, here 1st of all we have to understand first our strong zone and weak zone!

There is also a lot of available information that can be found for free - tutorials, lessons on Youtube, etc. One doesn't necessarily have to pay for books right away.

Trading on a live account is the only thing that testifies that you actually have the discipline to implement what you have studied from whatever your learning source is...weather it be Book,Video's,Audio-books etc

Copying the strategy of a profitable friend which is swing trading. He doesn't use any kind of indicator, only pure candlestick.

I have been struggling to learn how to trade based on pure price action signals for quite a while now using a demo account. I am advancing, I think, but I still need indicators from time to time at least. I still prefer indicator trading on my live account.

The sooner you learn to trade the daily trend only,the better. DONT trade against the trend!!!! The gbp/jpy and aud/jpy do,on average, move the most,giving the best chance of success.

For me it was when I started to apply simple risk and money management rules and stick to them.

For me it was a job interview for a company that was forex liquidity provider.
I didn't get this job, but i had interesting conversation with the manager of the company, and he told me something that has actually frozen me.
He told me that his company earns on being on the other side of trades, but they were not the forex brokers.

This conversation gave me a positive motivation to examine the market in a different way.

Any trading plan fundamental or technical can be stronger
if there is most powerful money managing plan.

Stick to my targets and have a Stop loss, don't be feared out.

I became a better trader the moment I started controlling my emotions. I learned how to stick to my plans no matter how favorable the market is at the time. This is very important for any trader. Being greedy is a bad thing when it comes to trading. Have a trading plan, a daily target and stick to it.

Every trader is different, not everyone can use the same strategies, you'll just need to take the initiative to learn what type you are as you progress.
The first thing for me was the belief in ones self, then there came the vast amount of resources out there, but MY biggest key to success within the market, is having a mentor who is patient, willing, and open minded.
I always follow trends, and with renko charts it cleans up much of the noise you're used to seeing on the traditional charts.
Never let your emotions get the better of you, you'll want a set amount of Risk to reward ratio and never steer from that, always keep a cap on the amount you're willing to risk.

After a while you will learn that you have to ignore 99% of what people talking. Most dont know what they do and only want to be shiny Internet Marketer. (The success rate of Internet Marketer is nearly the one in trading. People dont want to think the want to follow. Like me some time ago.
You have to think yourself. And dont believe anyone who shows you money in theire stupid youtube channel.

time doesnt mean anything in trading. Follow price not time.

The trends are usually the basic indicators to trade profitably for any new trader so they should start trading by learning the trends and giving importance to learn how the support and resistance works in trading.
