Mr Pip no longer uses the volume or the footprint chart although he did try it out a few months back. He realized that he started losing his intimacy with the candles and Price Action once he started learning to use this.

My trades on NQ today: +11,25 (2,25 + 9). Could have been more (my target level has been reached, but I started to trail agressively and got taken out).

I was thinking more looking at it in the area where structure is for the 50% to 61.8% retrace ie can we see delta or volume pointing to a reverse. Or even to analyse the rotation candle .....

I'm beginning to get an idea on how to trade YM.

With Forex I was using the 1H charts, so it shows only long term order flow.

With YM, if i use purely the 233 ticks, its confusing because it shows both long and short term order flows. Now i use the 1H charts to map out support and resistance levels, and then use 233 tick charts to trade.

Example of the 1H chart as follows, showing with clarity that the expectation is NSL.

I do not just the chart I post. Bar by bat analysis helps me see that.

Don't try to re-invent the wheel Kelvin

If everyone is using the 233 tick chart and making pips, then there might be something that you are overlooking...Follow the plan and keep following it till you get it right...you're gonna have a string of losses and it will feel like you cant do this, but keep going and you will figure it out

Reduce your lot size to the absolute minimum and forget about the money...try to get your 20-30 pips every time you trade...the money will eventually follow

And post your charts and let us know what you see

But remember price is going to correct deep. There is no sign of weakness in the bulls. Be a little patient. Wait for the price to breakdown. Then you hit the hammer when you see the signal

USDJPY Analysis

Intraday: NSL

- Price made a NSL within 30 min of market open
- 2 harmonics completed

Expectation: too early to trade and the bear candle is ridiculously big to happen so early in the day. Will wait this one out and see what happens

Long term: NSH

- Market is overall bullish
- Going with intraday expectations

Thanks. Yeah need more practice for this..

Ok how to read chart now? We still have long term NSL expectation but short term we have NSH. Should be looking for deep correction and go for long?

i cant tell if it's going to be deep or not...but expectation is a NSH now unless price decides to go crashing down again

He he thanks for good expression.

After not successful trade confusing what to look next. I mean yeah y see short term NSH, but we have different long term expectation and to take long now even with good correction, good R:R looks suspicious..

That's why you should know which orderflow you want to trade. There is always a larger orderflow but we don't check the weekly charts now, do we ?

But you are trading against the expectation

Expectation is still a NSH

Price made a NSH at 8 am GMT and then again at 11 am GMT so right now you are assuming that the long term will play out...which it might, but on the intraday it is still a NSH and you are an intraday trader. Price might look to correct from the point and could go head up because that is the expectation and expectation plays out 70% of the time...you only have a 30% chance of getting this right

Just coz price reached the 61.8 in the long term, doesn't guarantee that the long term will play out. Go with the most immediate expectations that take place...Use the long term to see what price is trying to achieve in the long term. But for now...play with the most clearest expectation

Remove the long harmonic and draw it for your 1597 chart. Keep the smaller harmonics in the 233 chart instead
