imho, the downside should be slowing down now because .7800- .7830 is filled with support.

but oh well, anything goes in FX

Hello all. I haven't posted on my AUDUSD longs. I have been buying AUD since yesterday. Stops at the red line. I am buying at /near a previous bottom, in anticipation of trend continuation north (or at least a revisit or the highs). Nothing exotic I think. Fairly basic approach.

BUT...the recent past (spring 2017) shows what may go wrong! I tried to summarise it in the daily chart, lol.

next supports I'm seeing are 7800 and 7735ish...both look like places I might get at least a cheap entry...7849 my first R...gl

Why would you reenter at the same level you've just been stopped out at? Unless it's something to do with price action since then you are just costing yourself spread or possibly chasing losses and IMO it's too soon for price action to have determined you were wrong.
I don't think it's a bad area for longs given the size of the drop without decent pullback (or reversal) so in my short to medium term account I've started longs at 7820 and will try to climb rungs down.
In my medium to long term account I've still got multiple shorts open but did close another at 7810.
Hope for the best, prepare for the worst.

Like you I am running mainly shorts, but have hedged a few longs along the way with stops. This is one of those times. The price needs to relax a bit.

I felt that .7800 was a good price for stop hunters. Once the weak hands were stopped out, prices will bounce. Indeed it has.

Nice, .7820 is a good demand zone for longs.
