Any time they give a date you can be 100% assured it is BS. These so called "Christians" who make these predictions need to go back and read the Bible more so they will know that all of this only makes them look the fools.

Part of the issue is we are finite beings and are very comfortable with things having a beginning, middle and end, if it seems something does not fit the bill we will try to squeeze it into a mold that suits us, ( ie end of world) with trading the same thing can happen, if we decide something is to go up/down/sideways and in-spite of evidence to the contrary put good hard earned cash on the line and try to squeeze it into our mold.......same results, same egg on face different issue.

Mind you - in approximately 5 billion years (or maybe it was three - I dozed off at that point in my physics lectures - too many late nights in the JCR) the sun will have burned up enough of its hydrogen and lost enough of its gravity to become a giant, engulfing us all in the process. They're really not wrong about the end of the world being nigh. They just have no idea about time. After all they (the creationist and doom-mongers) think life the universe and everything is only about 10,000 years old...


On reflection: reminds me of the Remoaners who seem to think leaving the EU will mean we will sink into the sea, disappear off all maps and fall off the end pf the world all the way down to the giant turtle that propels us though space supported by 4 giant elephants who stand on the back of its shell!

Actually it is though we are 150 miles from the coast. The lake produces some pretty stiff gusts. Irma produced some 60 - 70 knot gusts. We love Nigel over here. As the above video shows, Trump is even commenting on the spoiled, privileged athletic jerks that disrespect our country and its flag. I completely understand your sentiments, simply looking at the opposition Trump is getting -- as much from the republicans as the supposed opposition. Having studied lots of world history, I believe leadership begets leadership. I think Reagan was much stronger because of Thatcher and vice versa. If both we and England had strong leadership I think more countries and leaders would fall into line. Many a good soldier was a good soldier because of a brave, courageous leader. The two of us have won two world wars -- you know, the wars to end all wars.

yes thank-you, there is actually enough time from the beginning of the world until the end to have 2 pancake meals if you are organised and start early enough...but we only had 1 they were big pancakes and he is a little Grandson ...

We are being shoe horned into wars again. I believe it's what is wanted, it thins out the population and good for business. We know who it has the most impact on but the rank and file don't matter, pawns in the game.
