Terrible week for me. It's all started good. I was doing everything by my strategy and everything was fine until I decided to fucking stop waiting. First 10 pip loss. Then I got in perfectly on Wednesday, had good profit and I decided to NOT TAKE IT and wait. End up in 0. Then I thought 1955 is the level when it should reverse, another 20 pip loss. Awesome. Last chance I had at 1993 and it kicked my SL out before went down. Final trade I took at 65 and was able to profit 17 pip. WOW. So total 7% down this week. Great! Mistakes after mistakes! Now I am lost in my thoughts! I don't know what E is going to do next. I am taking break until I will clear my mind! Have s nice weekend guys. It's been pleasure to trade with you back to back my friend ATA!

All is well Denisius.. it is very good that you can make self-critic.. that says a lot about you in a good way.. I am sure that you will regain your energy and do your best for coming week.. at the end of a trading week we all get tired.. So get a good sleep.. Enjoy a lovely weekend with friends and family.. and once you have enough energy on Sunday, sit down and look again what you did inside a calm hour.

  1. Check all your wrong entries. Also check your correct entries. Try to see what you could have avoided or have done better.
  2. Look at different timeframes during your entries to see what they were showing at those times.
  3. Zoom in and out of screen to see the bigger picture of the same candles.

Overall, focus on making progress from your mistakes. Your mind will get used to spot market behaviour the more you begin trading with a better awareness of your mistakes. And don't rush.. everything and especially trading requires a lot of time to grasp. Again.. do this all on Sunday.. Now its time to chillax..

Hey Ata, I think the pattern had already been created on daily. I Think it's a show down and it's gonna be a aggressive one.

Thanks my friend! I slept almost 12 hours. Thursday Friday night and day trading killed me. Actually I woke up well refreshed! I am taking back my trading to .01 volumes. Consider it as paper trading . Removing all unnecessary indicators. Leaving only pivot levels and RSI MA combination. Open blank chart and applied new settings. And what I see ? Something I was missing all the time. Bigger picture! I am not going to make any conclusion to E future. You said it well enough in your post. I want to see further price action. If this is trend reversal as you think too( I am with you on " left shoulder ") then I will wait for confirmation. This is it for me. Have a great weekend!

If you are a pure "Trend Follower" then it would be a bad idea. But "Swing Traders" do it all the time, "Counter Trend Traders" do it all the time, "Scalpers" and "Consolidation Traders" probably do it too.

On the chart below you can see that if you believe you are in a channel you could trade a possible retracement on each touch of channel upper edge. You would go against the trend but it wouldn't be a bad idea.

The chart is also an example why I prefer to shift to bearish: Because channel is broken, candles can't touch upper edge of channel anymore. The slope is shifting slowly to bearish. The blue line is still holding but once it breaks we go fully bearish. For now we trade both sides may it a buy or a sell. But we are shifting more and more to bearish. Yes, the pattern has showed on daily but S1 (the blue line on my last H1 and Daily outlook post) is not broken yet. We actually don't know if S1 will break or not. More data will help us to see clearly. Therefore patience is the key here. And last week it was possible to trade buy or sells on H1.. Next week everything depends on S1..

I personally believe in a breakout so I will think twice when taking buy trades. Until when? Until I see signs that bullish trend might continue. Nothing is set on stone right? We watch the market and adapt. Therefore me saying that my bias is bearish doesn't mean I am blindly taking shorts. This week I took more shorts than longs based on H1. But if I was trading based on Daily I would do nothing and just watch since market is in consolidation.

I respect your thinking and skills in guessing. For your own good I hope you end up being right. But whether you are right or wrong, I can sincerely say that it will have no effect on my overall trading plan.

I'm not TA so apologies for not understanding the charts.

Euro is being bought for a number of reasons. First up USD - Yellen is out of favor, Trump wants a lower dollar, he often gets what he wants.

Secondly, Euro is a good buy, they will cut back on the QE, will announce it in increments.

This text editor is difficult.

Draghi will soon be replaced, one contender that the market is watching out for is Weidmann, Euro positive if that happens, even if a protige.

Come Monday, Merkel will win election, watch out for who will be partner in govt. Germany could have a right wing opposition, watch for that - will affect Euro price.

Gbp took a knock late Fri re Moodys, if you knock Gbp then they buy Euro (Europeans that is)

Yes patience is the key...thursday I was just hege 5 lots EU short... Did not add AUDUSD short....and I was very wishfull to short GU and long USDTRY heavily ....just because of I was not sure be can be infront of screeen during fed....Am ı regret...yes fuckingly...and I closed all orders with a little profit....
even I was waiting USDJP down in tokyo sesssion I closed my uj short...it went down 100 pips arround.. Even I closed my EU longs altough I was waiting from 1.1900 to minumum 1.1980... even friday morning when I wake up noon time and see EU is around 1.1998 and GU around 1,13580...I wanted to short 5 lots each....but closed 2 lots partial short in EU only very early wahile waiting to short upper like 1,2022...Am ı regret, yes...but better to be in game. but when you see you have to kick without any doubt. that is the way to make money...time to time slowly but time to time brave enough.

I've been watching from the sidelines and taking a trade every now and then just to satisfy the need for more than couple of months. This last two weeks i started to get a grap (yet not very sucesfully), last week i've seen about +140pips (wednesday) in my account get arrogant and end the week with around +40. I've diagnosed my greatest vice which is holding firmly to my bias and if things go wrong exit and get back in within minutes with my imaginary points that are purely on my bias not logic.

Anyway, said bias which turned a beautiful week in to a stressful one last time, would be there the next week though this time -hopefully- im getting logical if things dont go as planned. Here is my plan for the following week;

First of all on the bigger picture i believe that last quarter will be bearish due to both fundamentals and my inner voice telling come on 9 month of full on bearish mode it shouldn't be possible (though i really want to see the move after german elections).

H&S is there and we all see it break below 1910-1860 area should create a move towards 1750ish which would lead to a bit of retracement and a final quarter of 2018 being bearish. So i will sell every opportunity between 1950-2040 for mentioned points below. And even an hour (maybe 15mnt)manages to close above 2040 i hopefully leave my bias and start reading charts again.

I'm a noob so feel free to criticize, i will try to learn from them =).
