Liking the price action on CCI, especially given the general market is down about 1% or more on the day.

To be quite honest, I changed my mind on Gold. I think it's a buy, especially if it trades above $1300/oz. Despite the "wonders of Bitcoin", Gold will still have a place... it has for 6,000+ years, not sure why it wouldn't today. Or do we have that much faith in central bankers (invented 100yrs ago) and the blockchain (invented 8?yrs ago). Stocks can't stay at these valuations forever...
I own physical already and since US Customer's can't trade XAU on Oanda anymore (i have no idea why) I might have to buy IAU or Futures, but truth be told, I don't have a futures account at the moment. Could always have part long-term, part liquid (buy some physical, and buy your favorite method of owning gold).
Obviously much harder to have a stop loss on physical :-)

I'm not a very good currency trader (which i suppose makes it a little strange I post charts on Forex Factory), so with that in mind, I'd love to hear opinions of those who actually are good currency traders ;-) (and i mean long-term guys, not hourly/minute scalpers!)

Looks like it's popped back up but ready to resume its downtrend, so that made me look at UK equities. Similarly, they too have rallied to previous resistance and failed to make a higher high. I now see them below the trendline with perhaps a decent short opportunity. Can keep stop pretty tight here in my humble opinion. Here are the two charts I'm looking at...

I'm noticing a TON of utility companies come up on my multi-year high scans. Any particular reason for this? Seems a little crazy with rates (supposedly) heading higher, however i posted my skepticism on that front earlier. Anyone else have a theory on why utilities should be breaking out to new multi-year (all time?) highs?

Here's an odd one that caught my eye... Delphi Automotive is breaking out, but I can't quite figure out why.
Aren't auto sales supposed to be lower in the coming year? Either way, it's a nice looking chart...

I bought BDEV because the market had punished them over their debt, but they managed to refinance and pay down their considerable debt. So I considered that they were fair game. I got out close to what I considered book-value. They have bounced a bit since then but not enough to make me wish.....
I have another house builder chart to publish. I was feeling a bit bruised in 2009 so it was a gentle affair but that made me 117% according to Google finance....

So here's a few long-term charts, but it's all the same theme. Perhaps someone more in tuned with the ag markets has a better view. These are extremely long term charts, so the signal might not come for months, but these will be my trading biases over the next few months (and maybe even years) as these play out.
Basic idea is soybeans are rich to Wheat and Corn... so buy Wheat & Corn, Sell soybeans. First the Soybeans & Wheat Charts:
Soybeans (2002 to 2017)
Wheat (2002 to 2017):
Next I compared the two... just a simple ratio (wheat divided by soybeans). Now granted the division isn't in decimals due to how these are quoted, but i think it's somewhat clear that we could be at an inflection point.
And finally, zooming in on the Weekly charts of Corn & Soybeans shows the following:
So this will be my bias: Buy Corn & Wheat, Sell Soybeans. That said, a bounce in Soybeans is possible as well, so the trade might just be long all ag commodities, so I'm planning on being flexible with this. Good Luck Trading!

Scott's Miracle Grow makes fertilizer, soil, and other agriculture related products. They've also been quietly (or not so quietly depending on who you talk to) been getting involved in the Pot business or at least products tangentially related to weed. As I think legalization is just around the corner, this could be an interesting way to get on that train.
Two ways i'd play this from a technical standpoint. Either buy now with a pretty tight stop around $92 (or $90 if you want to give it more room) or you wait until it breaks out above $100. Or you do both: half now and your other half after it hits $100.50 or $101 say.
