Good day MASTERMND and thanks so much for this, please kindly help me sir with how this works as in what to look out for before one can trigger a buy or sell
i have been studying this over and over and its not entering , even the ones u posted i saw the charts but cant still understand the rationale behind the entries

There are 2 systems in this thread.

System 1: QUAD CANDLE SYSTEM [Primary method traded on the D1 TF for longer term trading]
System 2: M15/M5 MML SYSTEM [Secondary method traded on the M15 TF for intraday trading]

Apply a 'small' live account after having used a demo for practising so that you are very familiar with the method.

If account funding in live mode is less than 1K consider trading only 1 method.
A very small start balance may not be suitable for trading the primary method (QCS D1).

If account funding in live mode is very much greater than 1K consider trading either or both of the methods.

Now then, which method are you referring too?

I suggest you read through Post 1 in its entirety but skip Quad Patterns because I do not apply Quads on an M15 TF.
When you have a good understanding follow the M15/M5 MML System live trades that I take (will be taking) and what I annotate.

Study the following from the links provided in Post 1:

1. Candlestick patterns (inside bar, bearish & bullish engulfing, doji, pin bar etc etc) ;
2. Price action (M15 down to M5 and digging up hidden PA in lower TFs at time of anticipated entry);
3. Harmonics (C-Buy, C-Sell, ABCD and AB=CD patterns, Reversals at Point D etc);
4. Fibonacci ratios (How to apply them as retracements 38.2, 50, 61.8, 78.6, 88.6, 100 and extensions 127.2, 161.8);
5. MML understanding (Trading Frame, MMLs -2/8, -1/8, 0/8, 1/8, 2/8, 3/8, 4/8, 5/8, 6/8, 7/8, 8/8, +1/8, +2/8 and what the levels mean);
6. Psychological levels and numbers (eg EURUSD 1.10, 1.20 and 1.10500, 1.20500 etc etc, likewise for other symbols);
7. Market awareness (when news is about to strike, economic calendar familiarity);
8. Trade Management (Post 1 and as discusssed thoughout the thread);
9. Risk Management (Post 1 and as discussed throughout the thread);
10. Template component familiarity (note +ve,-ve swap, spread, pip value indi for risk on trade, ADR, MML Octive gap and what they mean).

Once you get a grip on all of the above then follow the live entries both myself and other traders take and learn from them.

There is plenty of homework to do if you wish to master both systems.

Nothing comes easy in life, its all about understanding, applying, learning from ones mistakes and seeking improvement then repeat over and over.

ps If you want a green/red push button type of trading system then please go elsewhere because these 2 methods are nothing like that!

I do not include the full list of Quads usually.

Its up to the trader to make the check.

Be very aware that on some brokers data feeds there may be Quads showing but on another brokers there may not.

Thats why trades should never be taken on the basis of a Quad alone.

Hi Mastermind,

yes, that is true. I trade with Pepperstone, and there data feed was good until now. And I am also using supply and demand which give me confluence in my trading decision.

My accounts with Pepperstone too.

I can also see an issue with their data feed.

Some of my D1 candles including other TFs are not being updated automatically.

When this occurs it can affect the Quad pattern potential setups.

Might pay to contact them about this issue.

On CTrader platform data feed with Pepperstone is fine so its just the MT4 feed at present that I can see with issues.

MT5 on other brokers is ok.

I will contact them, because this is a no go. That is dangerous when candles are not updated automatically.
How can I recognize it with checking it on other platforms?


Maybe we have to switch to MT5.

On reflection looking to see acceptance or rejection of the Daily Octave by way of a 15min view, to me the game is about IF's BUT's and MAYBE's
IF I could find a top
MAYBE it might pull back at least 38% of the Daily A - B leg
BUT I most likely will need more than I stab at it, if playing with to smaller stop

Thats why I attempt to match the PA on a chart with the appropriate TF and likely TP range.

Reducing the traded volume is another option so that stops can be wider but you need to find the balance.

It is forming a quad candle at 0/8 MML
The up movement could resume, but to me the last retracement is too much strenght ( see the size of the red candle and how much vertical the movement is ), and in this case I think it is risky to jump in the trade. The level 87,90/88,00 ( that correspond to the 0/8 MML ) is a a good level and at the moment rejected the price. In case the price will retest the level without breaking it, a low risk entry could be considered....

Yes it certainly looks risky when its a dive over the edge of the cliff.

Observation might be the plan.

Quad candle forming at +1/8 MML
the level reacted very well and now it seems sellers are taking the control
Today candle could be the confirm of an inside daily bar and although the daily chart still seems to be long, if you have a look at the weekly chart, situation is slightly different...What to do in this cases?
