I thought it was popular in the States too but learnt something new, it obviously isn't if you and Doc ain't had them. Yes do try, really nice on wholemeal toast but I have to pass on the bread mostly. Report your findings, defo a different flavour than frying or scrambling for sure. Nice runny yolk !!

I am inspired to create a fusion of Peking duck with Confit of duck. It will involve dropping it into a deep fat fryer at the end, giving plenty of crispy skin, after a slow cook so it will be very tender. I think a red wine jus would complement it. Just thought you might like...

Poached eggs are not as common here. They are good though. Americans tend to try and fry anything. Deep fried snickers anyone.

Lol, American food is generally disgusting. It has far too much salt and MSG as well as other flavourings and the portion sizes are about 500% too big. British like to boil their vegetables to death so anything that was once green becomes a tasteless, grey mush. Chickens are about double the size they should be because they are kept in the light 24/7 so they eat non stop and supermarkets pump them full of water (how do you sell water at chicken prices!) I believe personally that women being "the competition" is a concept that is new. It is not difficult for a man who controls resources to get involved sexually with a woman, but the research suggests, and I have observed, that women in the main would rather share an alpha male than settle for a beta male.

I personally feel that the vast majority of male do indeed like women, but they are mistaken about what drives a relationship. So then they form groups like MGTOW and men's rights groups. This has never made any sense to me.

Thanks! I'll be back more next week when I get home. Yes I agree with you, women would rather share a decent man than get stuck with one useless lump each. But by competition, I meant men. By sharing, meaning not at the same time! But whose fault is that? That is why most men need to sort themselves out. Who wants a fat, lazy layabout with no prospects? It is nature's way of ensuring their genes stop right there. But then of course, disgruntled men will try to beat nature by enslaving and raping women. How can that ever be justified?

I don't believe that rape and enslavement are justified. That said, due to some political machinations, the definition of rape has gotten very broad. Enslavement has had the same effects. But in the strictest sense, no, rape and enslavement have no rational place in a society. I know that in the EU it it becoming a big problem. I would dare say that some countries have gone suicidal. In so much a sharing is concerned, you might be a good girl, but if the resource pool is deep enough, women will absolutely share a man at the same time. The unspoken rule is that each woman will have the man's undivided attention when it is her turn.

Male competition, I also agree, a man who is not able to provide and protect will be left off the propagation list, deservedly so.
