G'day, folks.

Nice, straightforward look to the Monster this morning, figuring on a short move - and sure enough, he was docile (well as docile as the DAX ever is) and the percents came on a WZ move South.

DAX 06:00 - 08:00 (Done WZ short into body). +5%

GU hit target.

AU is still faffing around. Big range. Maybe more likely to bag by running it back inside on WZ tech.

F40 followed the DAX's lead and took the short-route to the profit easily.

Yeah, as SB says, ignore Brent. Use WTI (Crude Light can be fun as well).

Also @ SF. The way to trade Cad and OIL is to get down on the m5 and watch for differences in direction. So ie, OIL is moving up and CAD is lagging and sitting in a down move (basically on a pull-back/retrace) and then you buy CAD, as it will get itself back in line sooner rather than later.

Yep. Think of it like this - gold is a physical commodity. If there is an increased demand for gold, then its price goes up.

However the water is muddied here because the Aussie Dollar is coupled with the US Dollar and we all know how stable the US Dollar is at the moment.

The way things are, it's like juggling with triple-bladed swords.

As I've just checked it - 22.25uk - and I've got AU sitting on a Demand Zone on the H1 (and m30), just above on the H4 and the Daily.

On Gold, H1 is in a Demand Zone / Supply Zone Channel, (bouncing, on the m30), H4 and Daily it's in fresh air.

To me, it looks like a possible move long for AU coming.

As one final word for now on correlation - if you do like the idea of this, by far the simplest and most straightforward is the OIL/CAD one, imo.

Anyway.

I had business to take care of today and had to write off the DZ and B*A*D set-ups.

Before I get to the DZ charts, the B*A*D set-up would have bagged the profits. It looks like it would have been good using either WZ or vanilla tech but I have no idea which triggered first without going and checking in depth.

Big, bad, DAX-Monster went off like a rocket this morning. There had already been a big move long in the previous hour and I wasn't sure there was that much left to go. I guess there was...

On the chart it looks like there was a blip short but I never saw that, it moved so fast. If, if, you added that in, you would have cleared it easily on the counter anyway and if you waited for what had admittedly looked like it should be a short entry only, then you would just have bagged on the WZ move short now. All-in-all, +5% plus.
