From a german fond manager (You need to translate in browser), works on EU since 1999, extremely simple ...You don't even need a chart, it's not based on technicals though, maybe I understood your challenge wrong but it fulfills all your criteria.

And to me this is more swing trading, he shorts EU in December and buys EU in January...I wouldn't call this investing...

Actually his hole ATM model is very interesting and helped me tremendously (Analyst, Trader, Manager = You need to have all 3 components to be succesfull in financial markets) so his trader at the desk would be looking for shorts only on EU in december and for longs only in january (based on this analysis) and through the timing of the trader, the performance of his strategies can be increased.

And yeah I of course agree overall with you, 99% on these forums is pure bullshit, don't get me wrong...It's better to look and learn what professionals do instead of wasting too much time here (I still like this place, but for education it's of course not enough).

Try not to open ALL IN positions - maybe after that you will get better results, not lost all money. Good luck!

3-5 trades are quite a lot of trades for a session. It feels like a hybrid of scalping and intraday trading, range bound strategy on lower time frame (1 min to 30 min charts as main time frame(s)). And you are aiming for 1:2. I must say it will be quite tough. The market condition tends to change at any time without warning.

But then you are using 1H-4H charts. If you can get 3-5 trades per session out of 1H-4H charts, it implies your positions are probably fairly aggressive, and often likely to get into situations where the market goes many pips against your positions. (This statement is a guess.)

What profit percentage would be acceptable for you? I've seen many people who make up to 30% a month, but still trade small sums because they're afraid of risking.

hi
i was hesitating to write here, as i am still learning and in a way i have built good exp. in forex trading and coding by self learning in the hard way.

though my career in trading is joyful and at the same time is painful, yes till date i could not find a real system for consisteant trading.

well...

to make story short.....

i have found that trading forex is joyful, painful and hard even if you are real expert in this field.

nice to mention the support of many ff freinds here and "enemies" but all in all will enrich our exp. as traders.

i have developed my trading strategy from no stop loss to stop using indicators ..... to mechanical trading ( i build my own codes ) then to have 2 real accounts, one i lose in it each time i make a trade while the other one is having the opposite trade with larger volume... it is good but still no real system to trade with it.

at last i found the tma.. many threads are here in the ff describing the tma since 2007 by many great traders and many others developed this tma.. here in ff. but mainly malden hard work is honored by his revised tma indicator at which i respect his support to the traders.

however, this tma is stil repainting but there is away to minimize this pain, just increase the std dev. altr to 3 . then enjoy the results. om only m1 time frame.

i found this song by shakiera " TRY EVERY THING" , it is describing the forex traders.... trying , falling, standing up and then begin trying again, then falling... and so on....

i will not give up.

i will try many things till i reach my goals....

I will give you tip .. the holy grail is not in trading strategy, the holy grail of fx trading is money management. I mean how much money you will make in good trading series (for example half year, not day, not trade), once you are right and how much you will loose, once you are not right. Use basic math of exponencial and excel.

You can find most of A here; if you know what to look for.

You can find most of T in the market; if you watch it closely enough.

You can find all of M in time; if you keep trying long enough to realize what you've been doing wrong.

A is useful for understanding T and T provides the value of M but M is vulnerable to A. So: Figure out A, use T to work within it, and keep M safe as much as possible.

Becoming rich is not difficult. You just have to avoid being poor for long enough.

Strategy doesn’t mean only indicator based trading system; it can be your trading plan! Actually, discipline is very important in Forex! So many traders are doing their trading with technical and fundamental knowledge and experience without having any specific rule of trading.
