Try open a CMD and run java -version
See if java exists on your PC

That should be ok.....
Can you go to the MQL4>FILE folder and see if you see this file "actual_result.txt"?

And I have to admit that your system is functioning properly on automated modes.
I'm going to this test for two weeks and I will come back with feedback.

What really is a problem is that the hedge orders do not open in the way described.
I expected that any buy order that goes negative it opens a sell order. And this is not the case.
This is certainly a very interesting one. This can reduce the risk and thus provide a higher level of profitability.

I presume you talk about GRID STYLE?

When you buy grid
1 = buy
0 = sell

When you sell grid
1= sell
0 = buy grid

That mean when you buy grid using grid style 111
Buy stop | Buy | Buy Limit

When you sell it becomes
Sell Limit | Sell | Sell Stop

If I'm not mistaken I think for Automatic mode I have not updated the grid style code.... So you will stick with 1 grid style 101.

Hi yousername, I followed your instruction on post 755. I installed the latest java (version 1.8.0_144), that's what my CMD show. I inserted the javaGetActualEconomicData on MQL4/scripts. I have unzip Java Economic Calendar on MQL4/Files. So inside folder File I have a folder Lib and outside the folder Lib, I have Java Economic Calendear.

When I ran javaGetActualEconomicData it did the same as okshop but then file FG-ffcal_week_this appeared on folder Files. My FF Calendar does not go to the latest news like yours on your video.

Is there anything I did wrong on my above description?

I am using Automatic on FG since I have not developed any trading skills yet.

Idea for EA providing signal to open grid trading.

After testing your EA, I feel signal for volatility spike can reliably be captured for triggering grid trading by combining volume and alignment of direction of four currency pairs in seconds timeframe. Or just by capturing alignment of the direction of XX pairs in same direction will be sufficient to trigger the signal to open the grid order. Some control will be needed to regulate alerts interval.

MT5 can provide reliable volume of currency futures as CME has allowed this MT5 platform use for trading of currency futures. A reliable US broker has started offering currency futures, including mini version, on MT5 platform. Trading of CME exchange regulated mini futures without fear of brokers trading against you is big advantage. The volumes appearing on MT5 platfrom will be of actual futures being traded.

Quick identification of pairs behaviour moving in same direction will also be facilitated by MT5 . I read somewhere that ticks history and mql-language functions for handling this data is already included in the latest MT5 versions, so any custom tick collectors are not needed for seconds bars construction.

I checked with the broker about duration of tick history and it is 3 months which I hope shoulld be good enough for the initialisation.

Since EA will be producing signals (alerts) by push /email notification on the basis of seconds TF without requiring any bar construction or TF visualisation MT5 will be ideal.

My eyes were working like a Spike Indy.

I predicted spike in volatility by watching charts in M1 (MT4 has no seconds facility) by piling up pairs (eight times using a single indy which is attached) in a matrix form and jumping into trade when my eyes signalled that at least four pairs are lining up in same direction.

you may use this MT4 indicator for the time being to see if it's worth going for MT5 platform use later.
I don't have mq4 file for it but I have mql for the indy which was modified to include symbol and TF inputs. This mql is attached.

Why use MT5?
If the same process is repeated through seconds TF then the signal can reward well and quickly.
It can facilitate comparing price action in pairs in seconds TF and send signals to EA or to user by push/mail notifications without setting up indicator for visualisation.

It can use reliable volume figures of Chicaga Mercantile Exchange currency futures.
Please keep it for future.
